I was at the Walgreens a couple of days looking for a new everyday foundation. I was about to repurchase the L’oreal True Match Lumi but the Maybelline products were on sale and I haven’t gotten around to trying this one out. I’ve heard some pretty good things so I went ahead and picked it up.

Starting with the foundation. It claims to hydrate and smooth out skin’s texture leaving a naturally luminous finish as blends seamlessly with your skin. It does indeed hydrate nicely and leave a pretty skin like dewy finish. It’s also supposed to be formulated with normal to dry skin in mind. The website says it won’t cling to dry patches but would smooth their appearance and blend with the texture of your skin. I do find it works pretty well on my normal to dry skin for the most part but in some areas around my brows and nose it clung onto the dry patches and emphasized them as the day went. It also broke down around my nose quite a bit. Thankfully, it was only noticeable up close in my lighted makeup mirror, from a distance it still looked pretty good. It wore well for the rest of my face and I liked the dewy finish that developed throughout the day. I also found it to be very smooth over fine lines around my mouth. Most foundations tend to crack right there when I smile but this one looked really nice.

The texture of the foundation is thin and has a fairly light coverage. It blends really well with a beauty sponge rather than a brush.

The Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth is oil-free and contains an SPF of 18. It does flashback in photos as you can see above in the image with flash.
It isn’t very long wearing, A couple of hours in and I could have used a touch-up. I think in the winter it will perform much better, though, it’s extremely humid and hot here right now and I didn’t use a primer to see how well it would do on its own.
In all, I can’t say it’s my favorite foundation but definitely not the worst. I plan to stick with it a bit and see how it performs with primer and setting spray,

I picked the concealer up today actually, I forgot to grab it when I bought the foundation and powder. I decided to go ahead and throw the review for it in here as well. As you can see I shot this pictures at a different time but applied the foundation as I did above to see how well they meshed and, I have to say together, they are a great team. I didn’t care for the foundation on its own but when used with the concealer it looks so much better.

This concealer alone is pretty damn good. I heard it was similar to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer so that alone made me want to try it. The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is my ride or die. The Fit Me concealer isn’t an exact dupe as in it’s not quite as pigmented or as full coverage and the color range is far more limited. It does, however, get the job done nicely and is very light weight. It blended nicely with minimal effort and didn’t look caked or creased. It’s a great affordable everyday concealer if you ask me.

On the Maybelline website, it says the Fit Me concealer has no oils or waxes and is non-comedogenic which is always a bonus.

The Fit Me Powder is quite nice. It isn’t heavy and doesn’t leave a cakey look. It’s finely milled, and soft. I like it a lot better than most the pressed powders I’ve tried lately. It truly does leave a smooth finish. I use the press and roll method to apply it with a puff and then dust away from the excess with a kabuki brush. In conjunction with this foundation, you definitely won’t be matte but will have just the right amount of oil control.

All in all, I enjoy the Fit Me Dewy+Smooth Foundation when used with the Fit Me Concealer and Fit Me Set + Smooth Powder together. What do ya’ll think? Have you tried them? Let me know below.
As always thank you for reading and feedback is welcome. I’m working on better pictures so hang with me there, I’m still getting the used to this blogging thing and I want my posts to be the best they can be.

I have been itching to try the Matte + Poreless version of this. I have oily skin and with summer coming I don’t feel like I’m going to need any more “dew”. I may have so pick up that concealer though. I’m trying to find one that doesn’t crease like crazy under my eyes.

I’m all for the concealer, it’s excellent. I haven’t tried the matte + poreless formula yet. I would think it’s longevity would be better than this one which does breakup in my oily areas. A matte foundation I really love is the Maybelline dream wonder fluid foundation. It sets to a powder finish in no time and wears great. I’m working on a full review of it.
