Tarte Energy Noir Collection

I was in Ulta the other day and saw the new Tarte Energy Noir Collection and fell in love. It’s all the colors I love for Fall. So I emailed Tarte to ask for some PR images and they were kind enough to send some to me. It’s such a beautiful collection that I have to write about it.

Let’s start with The Limited Edition Energy Noir Clay Palette. First of all its packaging is gorgeous. It’s like when you see gems cut in half and polished. The gold trim gives it a luxurious feeling. Tarte always has spectacular packaging and since the last fall collection they’ve been knocking it out of the park in the packaging department. I’m digging the nature inspiration drawn from the rain forest. It fits they’re company and products perfectly. As for the contents of the palette, they don’t disappoint. Tarte has never let me down before in terms of quality. The shadows are always pigmented, blendable and easy to work with. The shadows were so smooth and buttery when I swatched them. This palette comes with some very flattering shades too. Even though it may strike you as an over all cool palette but I feel it’s neutral enough to look beautiful on all skin tones, eye and hair combinations. Not to mention being a great all in one palette for travel or rushed mornings, small enough to be thrown in a purse to bring along in case you want to add more drama for the evening.

Inside the palette includes a blush, highlighter, and 8 eye shadows. Two of the eye shadows at the bottom can double as eyeliner too.

The shades inside are:

  • Full Moon – matte beige
  • Charged Up – silvery taupe
  • Dark Drive – matte dark chocolate
  • Stone Unturned – matte taupe
  • Up Too Slate – smokey plum
  • Lunar Eclipse – matte black
  • Crystal Spark – champagne highlight
  • Unearthed – pink nude blush

The Energy Noir Palette retails for $38

Next up are the lip products, First being the Lipsurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint in the shade Energy Noir.

According to Tarte’s website this lip tint will react to your own “energy” creating a custom berry shade using a PH adjusting technology. The Lipsurgence Liptints are light weight and sheer like a pigmented balm and infused with vitamin E.
I’m pretty intrigued by this self-adjusting lip tint. I think it’s like a grown up version of mood lipstick. They’re going after our nostalgic sides with that one. I’d really like to get my hands on this one cause I can’t resist a berry shade either.

The Lipsurgence Skintuitive Lip tint retails for $24

Finally we have the Lipsurgence Skintuitive Lipgloss in Energy Noir. Same concept as the Lip tint but in a gloss. It looks like a beautiful shade in the pictures so I’d love to see how it changes on ones lips. I’m a fan of Tarte’s Lipsurgence Lipgloss so if it’s anything like the ones I own I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

The Lipsurgence Skintuitive Lipgloss retails for $19

As always, like all Tarte products are free of Parabens, Mineral Oil, Phthalates,Sodium Lauyl Sulfate, Triclosan and Gluten. They are also cruelty free and vegan!

  1. I love that about Tarte palettes. Many come with a blush and highlighter and even bronzer for an all in one palette. Pretty colors too, perfect for the fall and packaging is lovely. Have to try that lip gloss!! Xx
