Today I have a review of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect Waterproof Mascara in Brown Black. I was sold on the pretty rose gold packaging, to be honest and I’d heard some great things all over the internet so I had to try it.

Wand

The Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect has a curved rubber wand with shorter bristles on the inside curve and longer ones on the outer part.

“Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara from Maybelline New York is the first patented fanning brush with 10 layers of bristles to reveal a full flourish of lashes.”

This is a very interesting wand and completely coats your lashes, but it can apply almost too much product if you’re not careful.

The formula is pretty thick and sort of sticky. It also has a slight plastic, somewhat glue like smell. The smell isn’t overpowering, very typical of Maybelline’s Mascaras.

One coat

The mascara glides on smoothly, instantly curling and coating every lash. It gives decent volume and great length.

Two coats

After a second coat things can get a little clumpy but after brushing through with a lash comb I think it looks great. Builds up nice volume and crazy good length. I have to say I’m impressed with the results. This mascara is a win in my book.
