Sultry Fall Makeup feat. Tarte Rain Forest After Dark Palette

 photo finished1_zpseez0ipqh.jpg

It’s finally my favorite time of year! Fall!!! To kick off the season I decided to do a look with one of my favorite palettes for this time of year. The Tarte Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye and Cheek Palette. With this look, I wanted to create a daytime appropriate look. I was going dress shopping with one of my bridesmaids on this day but I know I was going out that evening as well for dinner and drinks so I wanted a look that would transition well.

So Let’s get started!

Tarte – Rain Forest After Dark Colored Clay Eye and Cheek Palette
Colors Used Today
Primed Eye

Starting out with brows done and a primed lid. Doing your brows first helps create a guide for how far up and out you can drag your shadow.

Transition

With a fluffy brush, I went in with Tan-geled up in you as a transition shade and to add depth to the crease area.

Lid Shade

I then went in with the gold shade called Up to No Gold and packed it onto the lid with a damp shader brush to get the most metallic payoff.

Deepening the Crease and Blending

I took Don’t Turn A-brown, the deepest brown shade and deepen the crease. Slowly building the color and adding more gold. I dipped back and forth between the shades until I got the blend I liked.

Tarte Eye Liner in Copper

Now for liner, I used Tarte’s Eyeliner in Copper along the top lash line and created a slight flick at the end.

Blending the Liner

Then with the Deep Brown shade called Don’t Turn A-Brown I smudged the liner and blended it into the lash line and outward into the flick so the line wasn’t too harsh.

I added a bit of Park Ave. Princess, the bronzer through the crease to warm the eye up. It was looking a bit washed out to me.

I blended the tan shade along the lower lash line, the deepen the outer corner with the deep brown and used the gold on the inner corner. Added Champagne as a brow bone and inner corner highlight.

I also tight lined with the Copper liner.

Finished Eye

I finished the eyes off with a couple of coats of Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes.

Cheeks

For my cheeks, I used the blush from the palette as well as the bronzer and champagne highlight.

MUFE – Neutral

On my lips, I actually didn’t use a Tarte product *gasp* I used makeup Forever Lipstick in Neutral.

Finished Look

And here’s the finished look! Sorry about the irritated looking eyes, they were still angry from the drops the eye doctor had to put in. They make my eyes mad for days. I’m planning a plum look with this palette also so keep a look out!

  1. I think this is my favorite look for you so far, but I can’t wait to see the plum color. My eyes are the same eye color as yours besides the fact the I have fair skin tone and freckles too so the colors that look good on you also look good on me. Lucky me for sure.
