What’s in My Travel Bag?!

As you may know from my post yesterday, we had a little getaway for Labor Day. I thought I’d show you what makeup I brought along with me. I wasn’t sure what all we’d be doing so I brought my most versatile and easy products. I feel like a did a good job packing this time.

Normally, I bring way more crap than I need. I did bring a lot of other junk I didn’t need aside from makeup but that’s another story.

Okay, let’s jump in!

    Starting with eye products.

Brushes, I chose to bring a double ended brush from Crown Brushes. One end is an angled blending brush and the other a pencil brush. I also brought along my favorite Sonia Kashuk blending brush and my brow brush from Real Techniques. The brow brush works exceptionally well with the brow product I brought.

Speaking of brow products, I brought my E.L.F Professional Studio Eyebrow Lifter and Filler. I have an odd way of applying it. It’s a chunky pencil and I find it way to harsh to apply straight from the pencil so I take the brow brush and put the product on it and they apply it. Gives a much more natural effect. It’s a great product to have on hand for travel cause if you have it in a darker shade like I do, you can use it as a liner also. It holds up pretty well in the summer heat as well but will smudge.

I also brought my Maybelline Brow Sculpt to set my brows, they can be kind of crazy some days.

Eye Primer is a must to me, hooded lids + hot temps = creased mess. I brought my trusty ELF Primer.

In the liner department, I brought my ELF Liquid Liner Pen and my Nyx Wonder Pencil so I wouldn’t look exhausted from late nights.

Good old’ Tarte Light Camera Lashes was my mascara of choice. It’s just a good mascara.

The Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette got brought along because I can create quick looks with it for any occasion that might crop up. It’s all slim and sleek. Great for travel. Not to mention a great mirror inside.

For lips I brought my two newest and most recent obsessions. MAC Viva Glam II and MAC Nose for Style from the Haute Dog Collection.

In the blush department I opted for Tarte’s 12 Amazonian Clay Blush in Deserving and Milani’s Baked Blush in Berry Amore. Both very versatile shades.

Then my two best contour and highlight buddies. ELF Baked Highlighter and Wet N Wild’s Contouring Palette. For more on how I contour check this post out.

For foundation I brought my Maybelline Fit Me concealer, foundation and powder. Not the best choice for hot weather…

I also brought my Maybelline Master Prime Primer, a blush brush and highlighting and contour brush.

Other stuff in my bag was my deodorant, oral care products, hair bits and perfume. I’m obsessed with Elizabeth and James Nirvana. I still have mixed feelings on that organic deodorant. I can do a review if you want on it, cause boy do I have lots to say.

Not pictured would be my hair brush, shampoo / conditioner and hair spray. I have them in another bag.

Anyway, there you go. I love taking picture of products right now. I got the new Galaxy Note 5 and it takes great shots so I wanted to play with it. I added the focal blur in Gimp. I think it just makes product pictures look better. I’m still perfecting my technique.

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out my Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter for more!

Bee Beautiful. Bee You.

    1. I know what you mean. I always forget something, or think “damn, I should’ve brought that”. My regret this time was not bringing another nice top. One I just bought and threw in my suitcase had rips on both sides. Thanks rue 21. Lol.
