Today I have a review of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. I have 2 shades to swatch for you. Abu Dhabi, a deep rosy beige, and Prague, a matte Merlot according to Nyx. I’d say Prague is more of a radiant orchid shade, great for transitioning into fall.
“Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and unlike some matte lipstick formulas also moisturizing.”
The formula is interesting, soft is a great way to describe it. It’s almost mousse like. It dries down to matte texture after a few minutes. However, it does transfer and comes off after eating and drinking. It wears well otherwise and fades away gracefully throughout the day. The Lip Creams also have a pleasant cake like scent and don’t leave your lips feeling dry

Nice review! =) They both look gorgeous on you, but I love Abu. These do have a bit of a funny formula, don’t they? They’re good if you’re going in not expecting a liquid lipstick, haha!

Yes, exactly. They’re almost powder like. They can get away from fast too. Kinda have a learning curve.
