Heavy Metals

This is a look I’ve been really liking lately, mixing gold and pewter. It was inspired by the necklace

Inspiration

I had me a hot karaoke date so I decided to get all spiffy.

Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay

I love the Naked 2, it’s an extremely versatile palette and it was perfect for this look. It mixes warm golds, bronzes, and cool silvers together along with great blending shades and an intense black.

So, Let’s get started!

Primed and Foxy Applied

After filling my brows I primed my eye then applied Foxy (the matte cream shade) from lid to brow bone to create a clean base to blend our shadows into.

Transition with Tease

Then,on a fluffy blending brush I took Tease (the matte taupe shade), I defined the crease and created a transition for our bolder shades.

Using a gray liner, I used one from Tarte called Slate, I made a dark base for our pewter shade. I applied the liner kind of messy and blended it to my crease with a small flat shader brush.

Pistol

With a damp flat shader brush, I packed on Pistol (the pewter shade) across the lid and blended slightly into the crease but keeping the color low. I blended just enough to keep it from looking too harsh.

Liner and Inner Corner

I ran the same gray liner along the upper lash line creating a small flick. Then took the gold from this Revlon Eye Art and patted it into the inner corner, blending into the pistol.

Half Baked

On a clean damp flat shader brush, I packed Half Baked (warm gold) over the gold and blended into the pistol.

Lower lid and liner

After cleaning up the under eye area, I tight lined with the gray liner. Blended tease under my eye, then followed with Pistol and Half Baked mirroring the top lid. I blew the color out pretty far for a smokey look.

I contoured and highlighted in my usual way. For blush, I used Milani Berry Amore. Got to love the face demons. My skin has been giving me hell lately.

For lips, I used Viva Glam II from MAC.
