Wedding Shower – Bachelor/Bachelorette Party

Last Saturday was my wedding shower and Bachelorette/Bachelor party. My BFF Brooke threw it with the help of all my other girls at our local bar. The owner who is also a very good friend opened early for us for the wedding shower part then rolled into the Bachelor/Bachelorette party after the bar opened.

I was overwhelmed with the kindness of my friends and family for coming and doing everything, it was perfect. The decorations were perfect and tied into the Halloween decor already up.

We had yummy snacks, opened gifts then later played the game where you build a dress out of toilet paper. That was funny!

I even had a few “big girl drinks” later that night and Jager (thank you, Robert). We ended up closing the bar down past 2 am. I have no idea when I got to bed, I hear it was around 5 am from Brooke because she came over and cooked us tamales, general tso, and broccoli and cheese around 3 am. Drunken kitchen adventures. Lol. To my surprise, I wasn’t hungover at all and accomplished a lot the next day as far as tidying the house and packing wedding stuff up to bring to the venue. I even started packing my suitcase.

That brings me to today, I woke up with tonsils the size of golf balls and fever so I’ll be going to the doctor in the morning. I’ve got less than 2 weeks to get better! Can’t be sick for the wedding. I got too much to do still. I am feeling better now that the fever broke, my tonsils have settled down a bit but now my ear is popping. Always straight to the ears when I get sick. Hopefully, I’ll pass quickly and the Mr don’t get sick too.

I’m so grateful for the gifts and gift cards we received. Thank you all so much, I never expected a wedding shower, let alone gifts!
