Well, October flew by before I even had a chance to enjoy it. As most of you know, I spent most of the month doing final preparations for the wedding November 7th. However, I did find a few favorites worth mentioning. Let’s get to it!
First up is nail polish. My 3 favorite colors this month have been these:

I either go with the purple or mauve and the shimmery one on my accent nail. Usually my ring finger. I like to finish off with a matte top coat on all but the accent nail. I should have taken a picture of the manicure, but I always forget.
Now for makeup!

I am in love with the Monarch Palette from Kat Von D. My brother mentioned that his wife purchased it, then I saw a pic of her on Instagram wearing the reddish-orange shades and loved it. Since he mentioned it and seeing her picture I couldn’t get the palette out of my head. Then by fate Sephora had it in a gift set bundle with a full-size mascara, Studded Kiss Lipstick, Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and Tattoo Liner. Needless to say, I bought it. I’m a sucker for a gift set. I ended up using this palette in my wedding makeup alongside the Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. I’ll have a full review up sometime soon. I’m backlogged in reviews.

Next up is the Shade + Light Contour Palette. I will definitely have a review of this coming! and make a new contour / highlight routine post. I’m absolutely loving this palette. I don’t why I waited so long!

Now this is an odd product. I’ll admit I bought it just because it’s made from honey and has gold flecks. I didn’t expect it to be great if anything I thought it would be sticky and yucky but no! I was wrong. It feels like a gel and seems kind of gooey but it soaks right into your skin. My makeup looks great when I use it as a primer like it suggests. I don’t feel like it makes me oily either. It’s just magical.

For lips, I’ve been loving the NYC Liquid Lacquer in Tribeca Mocha. It’s comfortable and works as a great neutral shade.

This mascara. That’s all I’m saying. I have a review on this to be posted this week.

These things work, but a word of caution; they will make your teeth sensitive.
Now, on to the random other things and highlights this month.
Where have you been all my life magical coffee maker of dreams?
I spent a lot of time with Netflix on this month while I did projects and crafts. Here’re a couple of shows that kept me company.
First up, Narcos. My brother told me to watch this so I could see Medellin (where he lives with his wife) and learn a bit about its history, and it’s just a damn good show. I was hooked, the attention to detail was great, and the acting was spot on. Also, the fella playing Pablo looks like my husband. LOL.
Next was Dear Genevieve, I watch all the HGTV shows but I really enjoyed this one. Her style in decor is very similar to mine and I picked up lots of tips and trick for decorating. Not to mention, Genevieve is super likable and funny. I’ve liked her since Trading Spaces.
I got my hair color redone for the wedding, no more brassy ass blonde! Lisa, my new sister-in-law is a stylist and she fixed me up. She also did my wedding day hair.
Some really great things happened this month too.
The benefit I helped out with along with all the great people above raised around $2000 to help my friend’s god-daughter with her medical bills after a devastating car wreck. She’s on her way to recovery! I had as blast helping out with the plate lunches, and the date auction. It was a good day, and it felt good to do good.
Next awesome thing was being a model for a day in my engagement photos. They turned out so well!
Then, of course, Halloween. I was pretty sick that evening but still had some fun.
And my wedding shower/bachelor/bachelorette party was amazeballs. Lastly, my number 1 favorite for October was my wonderful friends who went out of their way to help me make our wedding amazing, from crafts, cake, to food. If it hadn’t been for their help and support nothing would have come together so wonderfully.
Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out my Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter for more!
Bee Beautiful. Bee You.
