Good morning beauties!
Today, I have a review of the Too Faced Le Grand Palais Palette Gift set. Every Christmas my husband lets me pick a couple of gift sets for my present. This year I chose the Too Faced Le Grand Palais. I was originally after the Le Grand Chateau and the Tarte Gift set but we’re both sold our everywhere, so I got this one instead and a Marc Jacob’s Honey gift set.
Even though this wasn’t the set I originally wanted, I’m so glad I got it. I have hardly put it down. You definitely get your money’s worth.
First, let’s talk about the packaging because it is too damn cute. I love the doll house idea. This set was exclusive to Sephora so it has cute details just for them. I have the dollhouse part on display on my desk now.
Unwrap the most beautiful collection you’ll see all season and open the doors to your new favorite palette! This exclusive limited-edition set includes our top-selling superstars: the deluxe award-winning Better Than Sex Mascara, deluxe Melted Peony Long Wear Liquified Lipstick, cult favorite Shadow Insurance Eye Primer, two bronzers, one blush, one highlighter, and best of all: 18 gorgeous eye shadows in hand-selected party-ready shades. It’s a festive full-face kit so versatile, you’ll never have to wear the same look twice (though you may want to!).
The set includes 18 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer, a deluxe size of the Shadow Insurance, a deluxe sample of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Melted Peony Long Wear Liquified Lipstick.
I’m no stranger to the Better Than Sex Mascara. I’ve enjoyed it since it’s release.
I’m still testing out the shadow insurance but so far I really like it and I feel like you get a good amount of product.
The Long Wear Liquified Lipstick is a nice soft pink shade. This is first melted lip I’ve tried and I like it too. Definitely want to pick up some more especially in the shade Fig and a couple from the new Hot Chocolate Collection.
Now for the shadows. Some are super buttery and soft, others are a bit chunky with glitter but still pigmented and gorgeous. The only almost dud would be the blue. You definitely need a sticky base for it to work well but it’s still good. It can be layered to get the pigmentation and shine it has in the pan. The rest of the shadows are excellent and so pretty. You get a nice variety of shades to create multiple looks.
The Eyeshadows:
The highlight shades are really nice. I’m really fond of Satin Sheets. Which can be found in the Chocolate Bon Bon Palette and Boudoir Eyes Palette? It’s the prettiest pinky gold shade.
The Blushes, The Bronzer, and the Highlight:
The blushes are smooth and pigmented, I’m loving Skyline. Perfect sweet pink blush.
Sun Bunny is extremely pigmented. A Little bit goes a long way for me. I’ve found it pretty handy to have around, though.
The gift set is sold out at Sephora currently but is still available on the Too Faced website and retails for $58.00. Get it here.
