Rebirth – Feat. Kat Von D’s Monarch Palette

photo Spring is here and to celebrate I wanted to create a soft warm and glowy look._zps1tmvzvw5.jpg

Alright, let’s jump in starting with the eyes.  photo 20160223_064952_003_zpsgqk7yjjs.jpgI’m beginning with brows done, you can see how I fill in my brows here: All About Brows – Current Brow Routine

I’ve primed my eyes using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
photo 1_zpspqyytyz2.jpgThe first shadow I am using is “Entomology” (light matte cream) as a base shade from lid to brow bone. photo 20160223_065505_zpscqn1did6.jpgThis gives a nice clean canvas as well as helping blend the other shadows later.
photo 2_zpsbu48smez.jpgNext up on a fluffy blending brush, I took “Vanish” (matte milk chocolate brown) as a transition shade and to add depth to the eye.   photo 20160223_065605_zpsgklifnll.jpgI placed “Vanish” into the crease and pulled it upward toward the brow bone lightly.
photo 3_zps9byn6ea9.jpgOn a flat shader brush, I took “Killing Jar” (shimmery peach) onto the lid.  photo 20160223_065851_001_zpswhhkutph.jpgI love this shade for spring. It’s a soft peachy shade that looks great on it’s on as just a wash of color.
photo ENTOMOLOGY_zpsgpyxih3p.jpgNext, with a small blending brush I took the tiniest bit of “Disintegration” ( shimmery copper brown) on the outer corner just to add some depth.  photo 20160223_070040_zpsjvfljfcj.jpgI barely touched the brush into “Disintegration” because it’s super pigmented and softly blended it into the outer corner.
photo 4_zpswdzngnuh.jpgI then took “Delany” (a warm silver) onto the inner part of the lid blending into “Killing Jar”  photo 20160223_070216_zpsbtrppqp9.jpgThen on the inner most corner and brow bone I lightly applied “Telepathy” (silvery champagne)

photo 20160223_071305_zpse7adxv6d.jpgTo keep the look simple and fresh I took a brown liner and smudged it along with my upper lash line creating a small wing to give my eye some lift.
photo 20160223_073746_zps2qv9jqzg.jpgOn the bottom lash line, I applied took “Vanish”  to add depth then blended in “Killing Jar” on the center and “Telepathy” on the inner corner. Then lined the waterline with NYX Wonder Pencil in Light.

photo 20160223_075952_zpsnaoby0uq.jpgI finished the eye off with a couple coats of Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes mascara. Review here: Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara Review and Demo
photo 20160223_075954_zpsatnilzb5.jpgOn to the rest of the face.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

Now to add some more GLOW! I took Diffused Light Ambient Lighting Powder from Hourglass through the center of the face, then Luminous Bronze Light to add some warmth to my skin and Luminous Flush to bring a warm pink glow to my cheeks. Lastly, I applied Iridescent Light to the high points of my cheeks.  photo 20160223_074830_zpse7xo2rd2.jpg I wanted a warm kind of deep red on the lips with a matte finish.

Mac Auburn Lip Liner

I lined my lips using Auburn lip liner from MAC

MAC Nose For Style

For my lipstick, I used MAC Nose for Style From the Haute Dog Collection with has a more satin finish so to make it matte I took the Revlon Photoready Prime+Anti shine Balm and patted it on my lips.  photo 20160325_120558-1_zpswxrgte9b.jpgThis gives your lipstick a matte finish and makes them much longer wearing and less likely to transfer.
photo 20160325_120609-1_zpsme9cd5g1.jpgHere’s the finished look! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I have one more coming up using the Kat Von D Monarch Palette and a review. photo BBTBT_zpst6ezo2wm.jpg photo Untitled_zps5okgzcgt.jpg

    1. It’s totally worth it. The shades are super pigmented. I don’t believe she has individual shades other than the metal crush ones. I gotta say this palette and the shade + Light Eye Eye Contour Palette are my favorites.
