Kat V D Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara Review + Demo

Review time! Today, I have a review of the Kat Von D Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara. Been a while since I’ve done a mascara review which is my favorite thing to review. A good mascara can make or break a look in my opinion and they are really up to personal preference in what we like and need from a mascara. I kind of want it all especially volume, length. If you want to see if this mascara measures up, just keep reading below!

Let’s start with the packaging.  It’s true to Kat Von D’s aesthetic. The tube has a slightly textured finish similar to Nars’ packaging with red metallic detailing. I like the leafy pattern, it’s pretty. However, something does feel somewhat dated compared to her new packaging. Feels kind of early 2000’s goth scene. Actually, it looks a lot like AFI’s album cover for Sing the Sorrow with came out in 2003 I believe.

Now let’s talk about this crazy ass wand. Something like Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara but somehow, even more, sinister right, like thorns? I dig the inspiration behind it taken from wild roses. Hence the vine leafy motif on the tube. Pretty metal. LOL.

I mean, look at this thing! It’s on the large side made of soft flexible plastic that kind of twist around the brush to the tip and round off in a ball formation at the end.

The brush does a great job of finding all your lashes despite the large size and lengthens like crazy with some volume too, more than I expected. It’s great for layering up with a volumizing mascara if you’re that high maintenance (me) but looks great on its own as well.

Color wise it’s hella black, no doubts there.

It feels very nice on the lashes too, leaves them soft rather than crunchy or stiff making it super comfortable to wear.

We like our mascara like we like our coffee…black as HELL!

The mascara is super long wearing and is pretty damn water resistant. It won’t ruin if you were having watery eyes or caught in the rain but would definitely smear if you went swimming with it on.

Like they claim, it does wash off very easily with warm water and cleanser. I forget that it’s supposed to be water-proof when I wash it off. LOL

You can see it gives a pretty dramatic effect, giving long defined and volumized lashes.

I really feel like this is a underrated mascara. I probably would not have tried it if it hadn’t come in a gift set with the Monarch Palette but I’m sure glad it did because I’m really enjoying it. Would I repurchase? If it came in another gift set, hell yeah. Despite really liking it, I don’t know if I’d shell out the cash for it when I could buy Tarte Lights Camera Lashes or Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara for about the same price which I love. But, who knows. I haven’t really found anything at the drugstore quite like this. So yeah, I think I might repurchase in fact. I’m so indecisive. lol.
