Another e.l.f. review?! And so soon? Yep Yep! I’m working on a special makeup tutorial right now for the 1 year anniversary of Bee Beauty. That’s right, Bee Beauty turned 1 this month. Anyway, I have a review of the e.l.f. Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter in Fair + Glow. So if you want to know all about it, just keep reading below!
The packaging is pretty simple, typical of e.l.f.’s style. One one end you have the highlighter and on the other the concealer.
Both highlighter and concealer have the same texture and consistency, very light and thin. It feels nearly weightless and looks so natural on the skin blended in.
The highlighter is a white based fluid with a very fine micro shimmer. Not glittery or metallic. While the concealer, has such a light great texture but doesn’t offer a whole lot of coverage. It’s great if you don’t like a heavy concealer but you have troublesome dark circles I’d recommend using a color corrector first.
Correct under eye problematic areas such as dark circles and bags easily and effectively! Contains vitamins A & E, chamomile, caffeine and green tea to moisturize, soothe, and tighten the skin around the delicate eye area. Blends in easily and evenly to provide a smooth and natural finish – elfcosmetics.com
The ingredients in it are fab, offering some great skincare benefits. I’m seeing a trend with e.l.f.’s products having beneficial ingredients and I feel like that do work nicely. You get a lot of bang for your buck here.
Before we jump into the demo, I want to point out one MAJOR downside. An extreme lack of color range. There are 3 shades and all look very light to me. The deepest shade is medium. I just feel like that is unfair all around to not have products that match more skin tones. e.l.f could really make some great combinations of this for deeper skin tones with the glowing shade in a more golden hue. However, that is my only gripe but it’s a biggie. Get with it e.l.f.
Okay, demo time.
How to use:
- Dot the formula and blend in under, around, and on top of the eye as needed for a youthful glow.
- Use the “conceal” side under the eye area to disguise under eye bags and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness while helping the skin around the eyes look firmer and rejuvenated.
- The “highlight” cream gives eyes an instant brightening boost with light-reflecting pigments that work like an instant eye lift (can also be used as an eyeshadow base).
- Set using undereye setting powder.
I went HAM! I applied the concealer shade on all the areas I would normally highlight.
Then I added in the highlight shade on the highest point of my cheekbone and down the center of my face.
I used a Real Techniques Complexion Sponge to blend it all in. I think it blended really well and looks great.
You can see that it has so cakey texture at all and just nice and bright.
I will definitely repurchase this one and would recommend it to anyone who loves to highlight or lights a light coverage concealer. I feel like this would work well for mature skin too. If you can find a shade that works for you, def give it a go!
You can purchase the e.l.f. Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter from elfcosmetics.com, Target, Wal-Mart, and most drugstores. Oh and ulta.com now carries e.l.f.
The e.l.f. Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter retails for a whopping $3 and comes in 3 shades.

TFS your thoughts and demo. I like the elf eye brow powder duo and the elf under eye primer.
Ah I love how thorough your review is! I also love ELF. Wish they carried this in a shade closer to my skin tone. That’s my only real complaint about most elf products. Shade range can be so limited 😭
Your highlighting looks great!
