NOTHING OVER $10 TAG Full Face Tutorial

elevateWelcome back to Bee Beauty! One of my favorite Youtubers, Tati Westbrook, created a tag called the “Under $10 Tag” and it looked like a fun challenge so I decided to give it ago. The challenge is using only products to create a full face of look that cost under $10 which oddly isn’t a whole lot at the drug store these days but luckily most my favorites are under $10. 20160906_101222

Watch Tati’s video here and see how I well I did on this challenge below!

Don’t miss my Top 10 Under $10 coming up this week!

Ah yeah. starting with a bare face with this one. I’m going over all the things.  I’m using the prices Ulta has all the below products listed as aside from a Colourpop, Coty Airspun, and Milani which I got the prices from the official sites.

First things first, I’m the realist…

I mean, we need to prime out eyeballs and just so happened one of my favorite eye primers is well under budget, coming in at only $2.00. Can’t beat that. As I’m sure I mentioned I primed my eyes from lid to brows so everything stays put so this is always the first step.

Then of course on to brows. I map out my brow and fill it in for the most part using the Colourpop Brow Color in Dope Taupe which retails for $6 and is by far one of the best brow pomades on the market.

Next, I define the shape with an automatic pencil like the Brow Wiz. One of my favorite dupes is the ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil for $2.00. While not quite as fine a tip as the Anastasia Brow Wiz or the NYX Micro Brow. It’s $2.00. The color is pretty great too. A hair warmer than the former pencils in their taupe shades, you still can’t even complain because of the price. I’m using the Taupe shade today but I also use the Brunette, depending on my brow vibes that day.20160907_082640

Next up is not my favorite brow gel but it gets the job done just fine for $6.99

All About Brows – Current Brow Routine

Now, I feel human with my brows on. I’ve also applied the highlight shade from the Wet N Wild Contour Palette from lid to brow bone to create a nice base.

Confession time, eyeshadow is typically the one thing I buy that’s almost exclusively high-end. So, I used what I had that was under $10. I’m working on getting more affordable eyeshadow, I know there are some good one but I usually chose to save up for high-end palettes instead.

Okay, I could have used just this palette from Milani which retails for $9.99 but have already done so many looks using this palette or shades like it.

Instead, I used the matte shades mixed together and applied lightly to the crease area for a transition shade.20160906_085529

I wanted this look to be glam so for the drama I went into my other favorite affordable palette, Wet N Wild’s Comfort Zone palette. Can I just say, this palette is everything! I have done soooo many looks with it and it only retails for $4.99!!!

I took the definer shade on the green side and used it as my all over lid color and blending it into the crease so everything is seamless.20160906_090010

Next up, with the “crease” shade of the green side I deepened my outer V and used it more as a definer shade I still cannot get over the pigmentation and quality of the is the palette. Worth well more that the price!20160906_090316

It’s a simple look but looks much more complicated that it is.

Already, almost done with eyes. I added a flicky wing with my favorite liner pen which happens to only cost $2.00 and comes from ELF.

While not Waterproof as it claims, it’s still pretty damn long wearing and awesome for the price.20160906_09165520160906_091649

I added some more of the matte shades from the Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection to the lower lash line and defined once again with the deep green “crease” shade from the Comfort Zone Palette.

And now to finish off the eye with Colourpop Eyeliner in Get Paid in the waterline, which comes in at $5.00 and we all know or have heard how great these are!20160906_09564220160906_095640

Lastly, for the eyes, I applied Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Mascara for $6.99

Now, we gotta address that face, yo!20160906_082200

For a primer, I chose the ELF Mineral Face Primer for $6.00, which is comparable to the Smashbox Photofinish Primer.ELF Mineral Face Primer

Then for $8.00 I used ELF Foundation Serum as my foundation. You can check out me review here: e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum Review

For concealer, I combined the ELF Concealer + Highlighter ($3.00) and the Nyx Gotcha Covered ($5.99)

I baked my under eye with the Coty Airspun which retails for $5.97

I set the rest of my face with the Wet N Wild Color Icon “Bronzer” in Reserve Your Cabana ($3.99). This powder pretty much matches my skin perfectly and gives a lovely glow to the skin. Kind of reminds me of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. An almost dupe.

For my contour, I used the Color Icon Contouring Palette from Wet N Wild, which I believe is now called the Mega Glow Contouring Palette and the shade is a hair different. Anyway, the Megaglow Contouring Palette retails for $4.99

I knocked off the Coty Airspun I used to bake with the ELF Illuminating Palette which comes in at $6.00 and is a pretty great dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. These are just slightly less finely milled.

Then, of course, my favorite all time blush. (also similar to Hourglass) is the Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore which retails for around $8.

Almost done with the face, just got to hit the high points with a champagne highlight. This one is the Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls. ($3.00)

To finish off the skin I spritz some of the NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray. ($7.99)20160906_095358

Bam! Skin is done, now just to get a lippy on.20160906_100941

For the lips, I went with Colourpop Lippie Stix in Grunge.

  1. You look beautiful as usual. That make up looks great and knowing it is under 10$ makes me wonder what could this girl do with the good stuff. Of course I know you would do another great job.
