Review time! Influenster sent me a couple of Maybelline’s SuperStay 24 Color stay on liquid lipstick to review, so let’s see how they stack up with all the other liquid lippies on the market.
I actually owned 3 of these already that I purchased in search of a good drugstore liquid lipstick. If you want to see how well these little guys perform then just keep reading below.
On a whole, yes, there are better formulas out there and for a more affordable price point, but the lasting power one the Maybelline Superstay is no joke, very hard to remove. It’s not comfortable on the lips, it flakes, bunches up and drying. I would say pass on these despite, lovely shades, the formula is just awful and inconsistent across the line. Here’s some swatches.
First up is “Constant Toast”, this one I received in my Influenster Vox Box. I nice nude shade, a little paler than I would go for but with the right makeup it looks pretty good but not the most flattering shade on me. It’s fairly sheer compared to the others and has a slight metallic sheen, can be a bit patchy and gritty in texture. Why is it gritty!?
“Perpetual Plum” is a shade I purchased when I was on the hunt for a “your lips but better” shade. This one is a much more flattering shade on me and applies nicely, has very fine, barely there micro glitter.
My roommate just gave me “Lasting Lilac” from her collection. Definitely, the sheerest one I have, but also the most forgiving. It’s a cute purple with a blue metallic shift. Also not too bad as far as comfort.
“Keep Up the Flame” was sent to me in the vox box. Super pigmented and applies well. I like it, good basic red. Once it dries it feels pretty terrible like the rest.
I bought “Endless Ruby” looking for a deep red shade, while this one was cooler toned that what I was after at the time, I do enjoy the shade. Very good color payoff. Feels gross on the lips. I hate that I don’t have anything that great to say. There are just way better formulas out there for better prices. Check out Colour Pop, Milani or NYX!
*Two of the Maybelline Superstay 24 Lipcolours were provided by Influenster for review. Two were purchased by me and one was a gift. All opinions are my own.

Bee Beautiful. Bee You.
That’s a shame as the Endless Ruby is a lovely colour. I tried these too and also found them very drying on the lips.. tip – use ‘Blistex Relief’ cream over the top and it seems to take away that horrible cracked dryness (just so you can use the colours up.. cos I know you shouldn’t have to do this… but it does help!)..

I have a serious addiction to red lip colors and Endless Ruby is testing me right now. Using a thin layer of Vaseline sometimes helps me when I find a lip product to be very drying. Great review!!

The shades look lovely on you, but I agree that the formula isn’t great. I bought one a couple of years ago and hated it, so flaky and drying yet weirdly tacky. My favourite matte lipstick is Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet.

I was hoping they’d improved the formula since they’re acting like it’s a new product but nope.
