Who’s ready for Thanksgiving?! I sure am… Looking forward to some turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Thanksgiving, an American holiday where we see just how much food we can consume in one sitting while avoiding awkward conversations with family With the recent election, this year’s dinner table talk should be something. Something I’m keeping dafuq out of. I’ll be sitting at the kid’s table once again this year. LOL!
Anywho, tonight I have a rather easy makeup tutorial which is part of my Fall Series, using the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette. And yes, still sticking with the Type O Negative theme.

As soon as I saw that vibrant matte forest green shade called Moss in the palette I was all over it and of course wanted to do a look where it was the main attraction. I paired the shade with a matte black wing and a warm red lip.
If you want to see how I got this look, just keep reading below!
The Eyes
Yass! finally posting a tutorial with the Metal Matte palette. This palette just makes me happy looking at it. LOL. In case you missed it, I posted a review and looks yesterday, check it out here: Kat Von D Metal/Matte Palette Review + Looks
Alright, let’s get started.
I’m starting with my brows done and my eyelid primed. I started by laying down the shade Bone from lid to brow bone to aid in the blending. By the way, I used the shade Velvet in my brows over top of Anastasia Dip Brow in Taupe.
Next, on a large fluffy blending brush, I applied Suede into the crease area as a transition shade.
Then on a flat brush, I packed in Moss all over the lid to the crease.
I then used my blending brush and blend the Moss shade up and out, making it really blown out. I added more of Moss as needed on with the same brush. I added a small amount of Oak to the outer corner just to add some depth.
I did some clean up with a Q-Tip and face primer to get a crisp edge and to get rid of any fallout.
Next, I added a bold wing using NYC Liquid Liner. I followed the edge I’d made with the primer and then cleaned up the liner the same way so it would be super sharp.
On the lower lash line, I blended Moss at the outer corner and faded it to nothing on the inner corner.
I finished the eye off with some white liner in the waterline, I used Manic Panic in Virgin and Too Faced Better than Sex on the lashes.

The Complexion
Foundation: Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow
Concealer: Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer
Setting Powder: Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder + Wet N Wild Coloricon Bronzer – Reserve Your Cabana + Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder – Dim Light
Contour: Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette
Blush: Hourglass – Mood Exposure
The Lips
For the lips I used Mac Lip Liner in Auburn and L’oreal Endless Lipstick in Extreme Spice which is discontinued. Fortunately, it’s not that unique of a shade and a dupe is easy to find. I need to get my hands on one in fact. This lipstick is on her last leg. LOL.
And here is the finished look, told you was an easy one.
