It’s review time! Today, I have a review of the Studio Gear Prime Objective Skin Perfecting Face Primer. Phew, that is a mouthful! This is the first primer I’ve review which is weird because I love face primer and I’m always on a quest for a good pore minimizing, fine line filling primer. I really do feel like a good primer is worth adding to your makeup routine and can make a difference in how well your makeup applies and wears throughout the day, not to mention give a smoother appearance to the skin which is always a perk.
PRIME OBJECTIVE is a silicone based face primer that acts to “re-touch”, or visually diminish, imperfections in the surface texture of the skin. PRIME OBJECTIVE contains a sustained release liposome system with retinol that can help support cell turnover and reduce the appearance if fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a milk protein complex that can help to balance and protect the skin against environmental stresses. The “skin perfecting” effect of this state-of-the-art formula is further enhanced with optical diffusers. – Studio Gear
The Studio Gear Prime Objective Skin Perfecting Face Primer is a pretty good option if you like silicone-based primers which I do, not only does it diminish the look of pores and fine lines but it also offers some skincare benefits that help protect and condition your skin through the day. This primer does a lovely job smoothing out the skin so you have a perfect canvas for the rest of your makeup.Beyond the smoothing effect, the primer has what the brand calls Optical Diffusers and help add a brightened effect and blurs out any imperfections. The primer has an opalescent appearance when it’s straight out of the pump because of the diffusers but is undetectable on the face once it’s blended out. The skincare benefits of this primer are what really makes it stand out to me. Made with Retinol and Milk Protein 20 which are amazing for your skin. I’m a huge fan of anything with Retinol!I’ve used the primer for over a week giving it a really good test with different foundations and it performed great with all of them, from ELF to Nars. Our weather here in LA is crazy, from a light freeze to humid and hot all within a matter of days allowed me to test it under different circumstances and again, it performed great. You can see an example below. I think my skin looks pretty dang good. The only downside to me is the price point, coming in at $30 but considering the skincare benefits I guess it’s justified. You get 1 oz of product which is standard. You can purchase Studio Gear Prime Objective Skin Perfecting Face Primer @ Studiogearcosmetics.com
