Nyx Liquid Suede Review and Swatches

It’s review time! Tonight, I have a review and swatches of the Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks. I originally had Stone Fox and loved the formula so much I picked up 4 more shades. So here’s my thoughts and swatches of the shades I have.20161208_090732

The Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks has to be one of the best liquid lipstick formulas on the market in my opinion. They apply smoothly, incredibly opaque and go on super smooth in one swipe. There is zero patchiness, superb pigmentation without feeling dry on the lip and no bunching up, flaking or peeling.

The finish drys down matte but is comfortable on the lips and the wear time is great, however, they are not fully transfer proof but are easy to touch up and remove at the end of the day. An excellent lipstick all around. The shade selection is fantastic. The range offers something for everyone.

Let’s see some swatches, shall we?

First up is Soft-Spoken, which is beautiful go-to neutral shade great for every day. I would describe it as a nude dusty rose. I find myself reaching for this one all the time.

Vintage is a smoky plum with a mauve undertone. A romantic grungy shade.

Cherry Skies is a deepened cherry red with blue undertones. If you are on the hunt for the perfect wine shade,  this is worth checking out.

Then there is Stone Fox, a more avant-garde kind of color. It’s a blue toned dark yet vibrant gray. If gray could be saturated, this is it. The one also makes a great eyeliner.

And last but not least is Alien, a super opaque black lipstick, it does have a slight blue undertone so it’s a softer black compared to some but it applied so smooth and wears so well that it doesn’t even matter.

The Nyx Liquid Suede retail for around $6.99 and at that price you really can’t go wrong. I still can’t believe how good these are.

Compared to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams, these are far more saturated and longer wearing. The deep shades of the Lip Creams can be patchy unlike these. I do have a review of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams here: Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream Review
