Good Morning! A day late on this post. I fell asleep last night and slept the whole night! I meant to just lay down for second and then get up and finish this post up but noooo. I slept until 5 am this morning and I feel like I could go right back to bed.
How is everyone’s week going so far? Mine has been kind of slow going but it’s only Tuesday and I have a few home projects to get done this week on top of pre-writing some content for next week. My dad is having knee replacement surgery next Monday so there probably won’t be a weekly edit next week but I will have a review and tutorial up this week and next week.
These next few weeks are going to be pretty busy, though, I have 2 benefits coming up to help out at one of which involves my MUA skills so I am excited about that, my dad’s surgery and a trip to Lake Charles to a comicon type thing. I don’t know the details on that really. I will probably spend the day with the in-laws rather than go to it.
Anyway, here’s what happened last week in makeup and life.
Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 – Playing with the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Palette.
I have been playing around with my makeup, doing things differently. On this day I went with no contour and used bronzer for some soft definition. I have deep hollows (not that it’s skinny, god, it would be so gaunt if I was) on my face so it looks like I have contoured regardless. But yeah, I have been trying out new things for brows and skin. I’m really into natural skin at the moment, or “your skin but better”.

More PB&H Palette. I was attempting a tutorial on this day but it was just one of those days where all you do is fight your makeup and nothing wants to come out how you want. In the end, the look worked but I ended up adding liner and fussing with it so much that it wasn’t a great day for a tutorial. I am so obsessed with that honey eyeshadow.
Lips: Nyx Liquid Suede – Vintage
Eyeshadow: Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Palette – Queen Bee, Honey Buns, Feelin Nutty
Here is the look I actually did a tutorial with HONEY BUNS – Makeup Tutorial Feat. Too Faced Peanut Butter & Honey Palette

A more wearable version of my Moonchild Makeup look. I used all the same products as I did in the tutorial, just in a more subtle way and a different lippy.
Lips: Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick – Kapow
Eyeshadow: Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette
Saturday, March 25th, 2017
Saturday was a busy day. We went to Target where I picked up a metal cart to organize my makeup hoard because I am running out of space on my desk and the top is too cluttered. I also got a faux succulent to match the one I have, and a wreath with little yellow flowers. So cute, I will have a home decor haul and tour of the new and improved living room once I am done. Anyway, we did some Target shopping and got Starbucks. Typical Saturday. lol.
I also got some Nike slides to run around in this summer. I’m kind of obsessed with them right now. So comfy.
A friend ended up coming into town to hang out so I got full glam while he was driving in and we had probably the worst dinner ever at Applebees. (Should have been an omen of how that night was going to go) then to the bar by my house for drinks, Long story short, out of town guest got fucking hammered and was all over the place, I didn’t get to bed until daylight. My husband was tipsy but fine, but the friend was out of hand drunk. My roommate was up with us until 4 am just helping babysit. Anyway, we finally went to bed, probably about 7 am. I thought out of town friend was all tucked in and asleep but apparently he had a blast while we were all asleep. My roommate woke up to her bathroom completely trashed, her makeup all over the place, argon oil spilled all over the counter and mirror, and stuff pulled out of her cabinets. WTF?! Oh, and the water in the sink was just running! To top it off I found my curtains had been ripped and he tried to fix them where I wouldn’t notice… yeah right, they were lopsided, of course, I fucking noticed. Let me put it this way, he was fucking lucky he was gone when I woke up. This is not a frat house, This is my home that my husband and put so much work into perfecting, cleaning and decorating. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and unwelcome. I don’t care who you are, you will not act like that in my home. Of course, they had no memory of any of this happening but said they would pay for damages. I personally haven’t spoken to them, let my husband do that because I would have gotten really ugly probably because I am in a full on rage over this still. I have a hella temper and can hold a fucking grudge like no one’s business. I forget NOTHING. One of these days I am going to flip out.
Anyway, here’s my makeup from Saturday, because I was really pleased with how it came out.

Favorites!
I haven’t had any favorites in the last couple of Weekly Edits and I have quite a few things I am loving aside from the Nike slides. Mostly makeup products I keep reaching for that last couple of weeks.
Before I get into the makeup, I have a couple of other things. One being this pendant I picked up at Micheals and put on a ribbon. You know how I feel about bees. Had to have it.
Next thing I am loving is the new Starbucks in Target. Dear god, I can’t even. Full on basic. Not only does Target not stink of old popcorn now, but smells like yummy coffee. Our other Starbucks’ are in grocery stores, one which is a pain to get to as it’s on the busy street in Alexandria and the other is in a grocery store that eternally smells like crawfish. I mean, it over powers the coffee smell. It’s so nasty. While NONE of the Starbucks are in really convenient location for me, the Target one is not bad at all. It’s expressway the whole way almost and takes a whole 10 mins to get there. Sometimes you just want Starbucks. I have 2 decent coffee shops on my side of the river I go to a lot but If I am in town I always want to get Starbucks. Oh, and I saw that some Targets are getting a makeover. I hope mine does! I saw the plans for the new layout and it looks great.
Also, this week my family is a favorite! We had a little drama lately, there was an ugly break up and my aunt ended up having to move home. It’s a whole thing but I am glad she’s back despite the circumstances. And I finally heard from my brother and he’s fine, I was getting worried because I hadnt heard from him in 3 weeks.
and an un-favorite – Drunk people.
Okay okay okay, on to the beauty related favorites!
I picked up a couple new skincare items that I am really enjoying from Aveeno. I got the Absolutely Ageless Nourishing Cleanser and the Absolutely Ageless Intensive Renewal Serum. I haven’t used it very long but my skin is feeling so good. It’s feeling smooth and hydrated for sure and these products smell so good. I am definitely going to be getting more from this range.

I have been loving me some e.l.f. lately. Some of their products are so good and so underrated. I have a best and worst type of post in the works all about e.l.f. but this pic is a spoiler to some of my favorites.

And my Tarte love is still going strong. The Tarteist line is so good. Reviews for these guys are coming up this week and next week and I have a review of the contour palette here: Tarteist Contour Palette Review and Demo

and obviously I couldn’t keep my hands off of the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Palette. Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Eye Shadow Palette Review + Looks

I have been really reaching for a lot of warm brown tones and nudes for lips lately. I forgot to put Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Honeycomb in the pic below because it’s been a go too.

I can’t live without my pale girl dream team right here. I can make all my foundations and concealers work perfectly for me now. I had a few products I couldn’t use often, despite being the lightest shade, they still looked too deep on me. Not anymore!

I have been rocking some boring manis and I love it.

I want to leave this post with some memes that made me laugh this week, cause these are me AF and we can always use a laugh.
I hope everyone is having a great week! See ya Wednesday for a review of the Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette and on Friday for a tutorial of some kind lol!
