Monday Monday Monday. Time for a Bee Beauty Weekly Edit so we can catch up on what has been going on lately. Spoiler alert: not much. I have a couple makeup looks to show you and some entertainment favorites. I spent most of the past two weeks sick with a head cold from hell and few other things were going on and I was pretty MIA around here for a week and makeup wasn’t a priority for most those days. I did do a couple fun things once the plague passed including the 2nd annual Cenla Pride Fest.
Anyway, Let’s jump in and see all the good, the bad, and makeup.

I was in the midst of the head cold so I decided to share a makeup look I did some month ago but never shared this pic of it. I used the Peanut Butter and Honey Palette from Too Faced and Vintage Liquid Suede Liquid Lipstick from Nyx. This is pretty similar to my Honey Buns Tutorial if you want to check that out here: HONEY BUNS – Makeup Tutorial Feat. Too Faced Peanut Butter & Honey Palette. All the products are the same as I used in the tutorial.
I created a Pinterest friendly graphic for this look too. I have been trying to make an effort with my Pinterest lately so all my images of makeup looks will be done in this general format. This eye look has gotten a few repins too! I’m a little Pinterest crazy at the moment.
Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 – Grungy Vibes

The head cold returned with vengeance. My throat hasn’t been sore like that in ages. It hurt to just turn my head. My poor tonsils and lymph node were so swollen. So Thursday was spent on the couch with Property Brothers, lemon and honey tea and all the cold meds.
While I was on the couch I shared a look from my Glam on the Go post for Dear Dharma.
Products Used:
Eyeshadow: Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette
Lips: Glips Matte Lipstick – Boho Chic

I was still sick as can be so more sharing of looks from Glam on the Go. This is the glammed up version of the previous look. I added L’oreal Infalliable Cream Eyeshadow in Eternal Sunshine to the inner corner and Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Rust to the lid and blended it out to create a more dramatic look.

I did a thing… I was bored with my hair so after creating a concoction of Manic Panic Hot Pink, and a purple and red from Sally’s this happened. I was feeling almost normal Saturday, We had a girls day. We did BBQ lunch at my friend Nisa’s Dad’s house with her family. I got to play with a sweet doggy and chickens. I am terrified of chickens but these were in their coop and were still little. They were so sweet, friendly and CUTE! So I overcame my chicken fear. That evening we hit the bar for a Mojo Killjoy show. Nice day out with the girls and a needed distraction. That morning my father-in-law called and said that my husband’s grandfather had passed away. It was very unexpected, he fell and hit his head and that was it. I was heartbroken, I loved that man. He was the best. Felt like he was my grandfather.

We headed down south to my husband’s hometown for the funeral and stayed the night. It’s so peaceful where he grew up. This is the road, named after his family you take to get to his family home. The service for Pawpaw Sydney was lovely. the pastor even sang Amazing Grace in French (they’re cajun french).
And his parent’s home. How picture perfect does that look? This is what life in Louisiana looks like for most people. I catch myself feeling kind of alone in the world as most my family has passed away or distant, and it’s been that way for a long time and I was very used to it but in the last few years it’s changed, between friends becoming family and then we go down south and I’m reminded I have a huge family now thanks to my husband.

I was feeling a little burnt out with travel and getting over being sick so I just took some time off from blogging and doing makeup in general. I just wanted to rest, but I hate not at least sharing a look or something to Instagram so once again I shared a look from Glam on the Go.
This look is done using the Tarte Rainforest after Dark Palette. I just used the blush from the palette and the highlight for the eyes.

I shared the glammed up version of the look, I used the brown from the Rain Forest After Dark to create drama in the outer corner on top of the blush shade. I love how this turned out. I think it’s glam, yet romantic and soft. I believe the lip I used is a Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Birthday Suit in both looks.
I also finally shared my Metal Xenomorph Makeup Tutorial

Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 – Cenla Pride
I never thought I would see the day Central Louisiana had a pride fest and I am over the moon. This was the 2nd one and it went great. My girl, Lila and I went. We had a delicious burger from a food truck and got to see The Molly Ringwalds who always put on the best show. We missed the drag show though… It was such a good event though. I have never seen so many happy people. It was such a positive wonderful vibe, everyone was smiling, laughing and dancing. It was the best! I was amazing to see all the wonderful support for our LGBTQ community. Go Cenla! So the event was moved indoors because of the weather of course but it makes me laugh that right outside the doors was a daiquiri truck! It’s not a Louisiana event without it. Does anywhere else have daiquiri drive-thrus?
The Laughs
Speaking of funny.
This is an actual screenshot I took of a Wish ad on my FB feed. Really Wish?! Dick shaped lipstick! My friend did by hand made dick earrings from the pride fest. LOL! Still not the weirdest Wish ad I have seen.
The Entertainment
Property Brothers have been my company these last couple weeks. I fucking love those guys.
Hulu added a bunch of HGTV shows so… goodbye outside world. Also, Liz Lemon will always be my spirit animal.
The Music + Playlist
Lana Del Rey is giving me life as always. She and the Weeknd are everything. I can’t get enough.
And Holy Shit Balls! Dreamcar is amazing. I mean, Davey Havok from AFI and No Doubt. I can’t! Seriously though, Davey can do no wrong. I have been obsessed with everything that man does since I was 16. His music helped me become who I am.
I also cannot get enough of that damn Harry Styles song, “Sign of the Times” Get’s me in the feels, man. I honestly never thought I would say I liked a Harry Styles song. What is happening to me?!
Anyway, Check out my Spotify Playlist for the rest of my music obsession these last few weeks.

The Past
Facebook reminded me of the pics from the past I wanted to share.
Like that time I had bangs, red hair, and shitty ombre.
I do miss this blond hair though.
And the time Ross and I went to see Queensryche. Such a great concert. (yep, I am super short)
I freaking still love this makeup look I did with the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette. I also want to do 100 Days of Makeup again. It gave me focus or a sense of purpose as silly as that sounds. LOL.
The Pumpkin
That wraps it up for me so once again. I’ll leave you with a pic of my fur baby and her baby, Monkey.
I hope everyone’s week is off to a decent start and I’ll see ya back here Wednesday for a skincare review.
I’m sorry for your loss xo
