Bee Beauty | Weekly Edit – October 23rd – 31st, 2017

How was everyone’s Halloween? I was in bed by 9, but we had celebrated last Saturday. Anyway, I had a busy week and have some MOTD’s and stuff to share including Halloween fun, plus some health/lifestyle update.

We had a hella cold snap this past week. I woke up to a frosty wintery landscape, a rare thing for an LA Autumn. We usually don’t see weather like this until December and January.

I had a wedding gig this week doing makeup. It was one of the best gigs I have had to date. It was just one of those days where everything goes perfect, the clients are great, it was awesome. Days like that remind me why I enjoy being an MUA. There are some gigs that just suck, you get shorted, stood up, fussy clients. It happens but there are those clients that make it worth it. This wedding was the ideal makeup gig. I can’t wait for more like this.

The wedding was at an old plantation. It was stunning. I wanted to wander around and just take pics but they were setting up and I didn’t want to get in the way. I do want to book a night out there as it functions as a B & B. It’s actually only 10 minutes from my home and I had no idea it existed.

Now for some Halloween fun. I meant to get this posted yesterday, but I had a pretty busy day and was wore out by last night.

We had a Halloween party last Saturday instead. I went as a bee this year. It was a pretty no-fuss costume. Just a set of wings and antennas. I did have some fun with the makeup though.

The sky was on point that evening.

As far some lifestyle/health updates. I am now doing the Keto diet and so far so good. We have also gotten back into the gym more. I am feeling pretty amazing physically. My back still hurts but it’ll get better. I am surprised how easy Keto has been for me too. It’s going great. I cleared it with my doctor first too.

We also got the results of Ross’s CT scan, he has arthritis in his ankle but for now, we should be able to manage it and not have surgery, thankfully.
