It’s time for another edition of Lust or Bust Holiday Collections. This one is a long one and brands just keep pushing out more holiday releases. Because these can get pretty overwhelming and a pain in the butt to cover every single thing, after this post, it will be more products I am interested in or catch my eye rather than every single item launched. Girl, it is too much.

Diorshow Pump N Volume Holiday Set

Not the most exciting of the Holiday launches from Dior. I would pass on it myself but if you are a fan of the Pump N Volume Mascara and neutral eyeshadows then here ya go. It is a cute little palette for travel because it’s a mini but for $30, meh.

This set contains:

• Pump‘N’Volume Mascara in 090 Black
•  Mini 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in shade #647

Couture Colour Wardrobe Palette

The Couture Color Wardrobe Palette is another good one for travel for the Dior lover. You have a nice selection of classic eyeshadow shades and lips options. The packaging design is really cool with the zipper, like a wallet or clutch. Is it worth 90 bucks? That is up to you.

5 Couleurs Precious Rocks High Fidelity Colors & Effects Eyeshadow Palette

These I think are really pretty. I like the Precious Rocks Collection. Both palettes contain gorgeous looking eyeshadows, though they all appear to be shimmers, I don’t hate them. These would make a lovely gift.

Colour Design Eye Palette

Another clutch style palette is the smaller Color Design Eye Palette which has the same zipper closure as the Couture Color Wardrobe and again the shades are kind of generic. Purple toned browns. Not feeling it too much beyond it just being pretty to look at.

Diorific Precious Rocks Golden Glow Loose Powder

This appears to me to be a loose powder highlighter in a golden hue. I would look pretty on a vanity but I am not a fan of loose powder highlighters at all. There really isn’t anything that feels special about this.

Diorskin Nude Air Luminzer Precious Rocks

The Diorskin Nude Air Luminzer in Precious Rocks looks much more appealing. The shade looks to be flattering on a number of skin tones as it’s a soft shimmery peach. The packaging is gorgeous too.

Just another peachy blush. I have zero opinion on this one. LOL!

Diorshow Bold Brow Brow Mascara Structure & Shine Gold Edition

Gold colored brow mascara? This sounds fun, but not something I would want from a luxury brand like Dior. Nyx maybe but not Dior. But it’s a cute idea.

Travel Brush Set

This is a beautiful travel brush set. I love the carrying case and the brushes look great.

Dior Holiday Couture Collection

This is a pretty set of classic lipstick shades that tie into the travel-friendly Couture Collection. This set comes with a lovely makeup bag that matches the travel brushes and the wallet styled palettes. I believe these are full sized as well so it’s not a bad value for Dior.

This set contains 

•  three iconic Rouge Dior lipsticks to suit any occasion: two different rosy shades with a satin finish
• matte version of the famous 999 for flamboyant lips.

Rouge Dior Mini Lipstick Set

Here we have a great sampling of shades from the Rouge Dior lipsticks for Fall. I would think this is a nice gift and way to try out some lipsticks from Dior. The shades are classic, timeless colors you can’t go wrong with.

Bijou Edition Rouge Dior Lipstick

This is the Rouge Dior Lipstick in the shade 999 matte in limited edition casing which is quite pretty.  There is also a set with this lipstick and 5 other refillable shades, pictured below. 

Dior Addict Ultra Gloss

There are two limited edition shades of the Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in a gorgeous shimmery red, and golden shimmer. I am digging the gold shade. These coordinate nicely with the 5 Couleurs Precious Rocks High Fidelity Colors & Effects Eyeshadow Palettes.

 

Dior Matte Fluid

Four limited edition holiday shades in the Dior Matte Fluid formula for lips and cheeks. These are pretty. I love the packaging. If I could I would own these.

Diorific Rouge Khol – Holiday Kiss Collection

Okay, when I saw Tati review these I was sold. I gonna need all the shades. These are a velvety matte finish, ultra pigmented, long wear matte lipstick. The case alone is stunning and the shade range is gorgeous.  I am missing one of the shades from the line in the picture.

Next up we have some pretties from Bobbi Brown, On a whole, I am really liking the holiday collection called Cavier and Rubies. The logo and components and packaging is gorgeous. Not all the products are as exciting, there were a number of other bits and giftsets I didn’t include here because they were so meh.

Cavier and Rubies Eyeshadow Palette

Starting with what is the most striking thing from Bobbi Brown this year, The Cavier and Rubies Eyeshadow Palette. I don’t know what it is exactly that pulls me in about this one. The shades aren’t anything we don’t all have but something about the elegance and presentation makes me appreciate it. It’s a very classic glam holiday palette.

Bobbi to Go Highlighting Trio

Next is another gorgeous compact. The Bobbi to Go Highlighting Trio is a collection of 3 highlighters in Bronze, Pink, and Peach. I haven’t experienced these types of highlighters from Bobbi Brown so I can’t speak to the quality or impact but they look pretty in the palette.

Highlighting Powder in Moonglow

Cult favorite Moonglow in holiday packaging. Looks to be your typical champagne gold highlight. That compact tho. I’m more sold on just the packaging. I’ve never been the hugest fan of her products.

 

Luxe Classics Mini Lipstick Set

If you are a fan of Bobbi’s Lipsticks then here you have a whole set of minis. I have one of her lipsticks in my collection and have probably used it twice but that’s neither here nor there. This is a lovely set for the Bobbi Brown fan.

Deluxe Size Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm

Among a number of skincare giftsets from Bobbi Brown, there is also a deluxe sized container of the Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm. That’s a lot of product and not in the most hygenic container. It better come with a fancy spoon like Tatcha. LOL. I haven’t tried any of her skincare, in fact I didn’t know it was a thing until I researched her holiday stuff.

 

Next up is some the prettiest brushes I have seen lately. I would love having these. I am a fan of her brushes and this set and the two extras are lovely however the prices aren’t making it a pass for me.

There is something in me that wants these travel trucks so bad!  They are just so pretty and elegant. I love the color and the detailing. I have almost zero need for these at the moment, but damn, I want them, Especially the Deluxe Beauty Trunk.

I am on the hunt for an affordable train case for travel and a large one for my kit. I want I’m so picky, I want tons of function and pretty at an affordable price.

Now for some holiday pretties from Laura Mercier. Again, I am enjoying the styling of this collection. I am a fan of the Laura Mercier aesthetic already and this collection kept true to the brand’s style while adding a subtle flair.

Master Class Colour Essentials Collection 3rd Edition

Every time one of these comes out I want to like it so bad but they never really do it for me. This year’s Master Class Colour Essentials Collection is definitely pretty and very classic. They are shades I do go for normally but I have those shades in multiple palettes. That being said, this is perfect for travel and every time I do I wish I had something like this. This is $125 and a $438 value. Impressive but still pricey and is the quality compromised?

This little set looks boring and basic as hell. I like the blush shades but that is it. Easy pass on this one. I kind of just want to ask, “What is the point of you?” PASS!

This is a lovely little brush set for travel. It’s simple and elegant in design. I haven’t used any of Laura Mercier brushes so I can’t speak for quality but I like the styling and I like brush sets. LOL.

Exotics Redefined Eye Color Collection.

I came across this palette while I was getting info on the other releases and thought it was pretty and worth mentioning. It’s a refined and elegant palette. The colors are nothing new and exciting but the layout is great, It looks like you have a row of mattes and a row of shimmer shades. I think this palette could give you streamlined versatility for day to night. Not something I want or need personally but I can see it being useful for the person who just needs that one go-to palette.

Take A Powder Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Puff

This is pretty silly if you ask me. It’s the setting powder in a holiday box with a puff for $42 opposed to the $38 the powder normally costs. That better be a good fucking puff to charge extra for it. I use my beauty sponge for my powder anyway. Saltiness aside, the powder is excellent and wildly popular. I’ll just buy it for the regular price and ya’ll keep ya damn puff.

Exotique Face Illuminator

Well, it’s a pretty pan design… Not gonna work on my skin tone at all but if you can rock it, it might be something to check out. It looks like a bronzer to me but it’s just called a Face Illuminator and is basically described as a highlighter. I’m thinking it’s a very soft highlight from what I gather all her highlighters are soft.

L’Amour Exotique Face Illuminator Collection

These look flipping gorgeous and I want it. LOL. It’s the pattern pressed into the powder that gets me. I love the how it looks like satin sheets. I don’t think most these shades would flatter me beyond the pink but I appreciate the design.

Ya’ll know how I feel about lip gloss. The gold one is pretty and that’s all I can say. $52 for lipgloss is too damn much.

Sigh I do I even have to talk about this palette? I have looked at this thing multiple times and swatched it. It is so bland and boring. Same as the lipgloss there are either 3 or 4 Volumes or colorways you can pick from that vary between Ulta and the official site. I haven’t used these lipsticks so I can’t speak for the quality but again, it’s a good deal.

 

Here comes Becca with more stuff no one asked for. I am salty AF today. I’m just bitter because I wanted them to make a palette of the light chasers.

Bronze Blush Highlight Kit

In this set, you get a Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi, Luminous Blush in Snapdragon which I wouldn’t hate having, and a Pressed Skin Perfector in Opal. I’m not a huge fan of the Pressed Skin Perfectors and the bronzer isn’t a shade I would use so this would be a pass for me. However, if the shades suit you or someone you know who is in need of a set like this I think it would be a nice gift. I could see giving this to a teen or young adult as a gift.

I am super underwhelmed and not into the Tarte Toasted. I heard so many go on about how good it is, so I went and swatched it in person TWICE and both times I was just meh. Not into ya. Late in the game. I’d much prefer the Naked Heat or Huda’s Warm Obsessions.

Over on Sephora, the Kat Von D Fawn Duo has launched with a Shade + Light Quad featuring neutral browns and a Tattoo Liner in Trooper. This quad is cute but another pass. I don’t need it at all and can’t justify getting it. There is nothing unique about this quad at all. However, if you are in need of a basic everyday palette this would be a good option.
