Lust or Bust | Holiday Collections pt. VII | Nars, Make Up For Ever, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Marc Jacobs, Bare Minerals, Stila.

It’s time for yet another edition of Lust or Bust Holiday Collections 2017. I will get through these before Xmas by god! Today we have collections from Nars, Make Up For Ever, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Marc Jacobs, Bare Minerals and Stila. So many things This isn’t going to be every single thing from each brand but products I thought were noteworthy,

Let’s get started.

First up is Nars and the Man Ray Collection which is stunning. I thought they wouldn’t be able to top the Sarah Moon collection from last year but this collection is gorgeous.

Glass Tears Eyeshadow Palette

The Glass Tears Eyeshadow Palette is a 6 pan palette with limited edition shades and packaging featuring artwork from Man Ray. The shade selection isn’t revolutionary but it’s shades I love. They are like slightly muted jewel tones. Every shade in here would be welcome in my collection.

Duo Eyeshadow

Next is two duo eyeshadows. Both are right up my ally in shades. Montparnasse is a shimmering gold and iridescent orchid which is a classicly beautiful pairing and a favorite for me. Debauched is a black violet and smoky charcoal with red shimmer that looks stunning, and would be great for a deep dark smoky eye. Do want.

Velvet Eyeliner

The eyeliners I can pass on, you have Santiago which is a chocolate brown and Nagoya, a violet shade. These are shades you can find anywhere.

NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette

Not a part of the Man Ray collection but a new launch worth mentioning. If that palette came out during the summer I would have been all over it, but at this point, they are late to the game on these shades. That being said, it’s still really pretty and I don’t hate it. Just nothing groundbreaking.

This palette contains:

The Veil Cheek Palette

The Veil Cheek Palette has not only stunning packaging but really nice shades inside. Laguna which is a stable in most Nars cheek palettes, Lovesick, I am lovesick over! I love that shade and don’t have a blush like that. The highlight shade I could pass on as it appears quite deep for my skin tone.

Overexposed Glow Highlighter – Double Take

This highlighter is gorgeous, I love the lips pressed into the powder. The shade looks very universal. I wouldn’t mind owning it.

Blush

As far blush we Intensely, a bright tangerine that I also need and Fetishized which is a pink grapefruit. I think both these shades would be stunning on all skin tones.

NARS x Man Ray: Love Triangle Blush/Lipstick Set

Next, we have the lip and blush mini collections, these vary from store to store what is available. Some are only at Nars.com which appear to be sold out. Anyway, these are really cute and great shades to choose from. I would love to have Deep Throat/Barbara and Dolce Vita,

NARS x Man Ray: The Kiss Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Set

Another collection I would love to have! The Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are amazing and this is a set of 4 full sized pencils is gorgeous shades for $49. This is a great set.

NARS x Man Ray: Noire Et Blanche Audacious Lipstick Coffret

This is a stunning set of 4 mini lipsticks in a collectible box I would love to have on display. Thes shades are really pretty and 3 are limited edition.

– 4 x Mini Audacious Lipsticks in Lee (garnet, limited edition), Dolores (crimson red, limited edition), Josephine (Bordeaux, limited edition), and Charlotte (oxblood burgundy)

 

MUFE has a ton of gift sets, these are from the Lustrous Collection but there are some foundation sets and sample packs. I’m not blown away by this collection but there are a couple interesting things in here.

Lustrous Shadow Palette

First, from MUFE we have the Lustrous Shadow Palette. It’s pretty basic and looks like every other palette out right now. I like the case though, just bored with the palette itself. It looks just like ABH Modern Renaissance

This set contains:

Lustrous Blush Palette

Now, this palette I think is pretty cool for an MUA to have in their kit. It’s an investment but if you are a MUFE fan and a working MUA I think this would be ideal.

This is currently in on sale for $24 for a set of 4 minis. I am a fan of MUFE’s lipsticks but the shades in this aren’t enough to draw me in.

Lustrous Faves

This is my favorite set in the collection. It has a Star Lit Powder and Metallic Lip Gloss. MUFE’s glosses are nice and I have been dying to try out the Star Lit Powders. The shades are lovely too and a fair price.

Next is a brush set. Nothing really special. I like the look of the small highlighting brush though, make a good eyeshadow brush for the crease/transition area. I like a good big fluffy brush for that. You are getting a good value for $79, the set is valued at $173.

Artist Rouge Ink and Brush Set

This isn’t part of the holiday collection but it’s really cool and wanted to include it. Is it practical? No, but it’s cool.

What it is:
A limited-edition, holiday lip color, and brush set, inspired by the traditional art of calligraphy, that includes a matte, red liquid lip color and brush.

Prism Eye Shadow Palette

Every time I look at this palette I want it but when I swatched it I was really underwhelmed and I have most the shades in here. I don’t need it… but I still kind of want it. It’s just pretty.

These blush kits are awesome. I really want them both. I love the shades.

Lastly for ABH is the limited edition shade of the Liquid Lipstick in Trouble. Looks like a nice shade, the kind of pink that I like.

Next up is some super boring stuff from Bare Minerals. I have not the best opinion of this stuff, but I didn’t not want to include them because I know they have some hardcore fans. Bare Minerals had a ton of gift sets at Ulta, these are just a few.

This palette is so stunning! I keep adding it to my cart. LOL, BUT I have these shades in the KVD Saints & Sinners and other palettes. I don’t need it at all, not for that price. I heard the quality is really good though.
