L’Oréal Voluminous Superstar X Fiber Mascara Review + Demo

L'Oréal Voluminous Superstar XFiber MascaraHappy Monday! Today I have a review of the L’Oréal Voluminous X Fiber Mascara. Ya’ll know I love doing mascara reviews and just love mascara in general so I was super excited when this showed up in the mail from L’Oréal and Influenster. L’Oréal has been killing the mascara game lately too!

If you want to see how this two-step mascara works and if it rivals Lash Paradise, just keep reading below.

The L’Oréal Voluminous Superstar X Fiber is a two-step mascara which includes a black primer on one end and a fiber-infused mascara on the other.

Let’s go ahead and get into the demo so you can see the magic.

Here are my lashes before mascara. Almost invisible.

The first step is to apply the black primer as you would any other mascara. This alone adds great color, length, and volume.

Immediately after applying the primer, go in with the Step 2 end which is a Fiber infused mascara that add tons of length and volume. The want is curved and really hugs the lashes and gives them a curl. You can see if you look closely the little fibers.

Look at those lashes tho! I am so impressed. I had the original Superstar mascara and this new one blows it out of the water and gives my favorite L’Oréal Lash Paradise a real run for her money.

Best thing is the fibers don’t fall all over your face or in your eyes. I have had zero irritation with mascara. It wears great all day and removes easily. I have used a few fiber mascara systems and most the time they just suck and are far more trouble than they are worth. I’m glad to say that isn’t the case with the L’Oréal Superstar X Fiber Mascara.

  1. I have the voluminous superstar waterproof version of this, (tried commenting on the correct blog, but couldn’t figure out how for some reason).
I have noticed if you use too much primer it becomes difficult to coat the lashes with the any mascara… I don’t so much mind clumpy… But, I couldn’t get get any of my mascara’s to fully coat the white without putting on like 5 or 6 layers (which just made everything messier, in my opinion).
It seemed like the primer in that one was also a bit harder to put on, almost like I couldn’t coat the lashes fully without sticking the wand back in the product several times… Maybe I just got a bad batch…?
Idk, what I will say, when I could get it to work, my lashes did look pretty amaze balls though

    1. Yeah. There is a learning curve with the original superstar. The primer on the new one is sooo much better. I hated how it was hard to cover the white primer, and it got clumpy if it dried to much before the mascara. I haven’t encountered those issues with the x fiber.

      1. I’ve never been a big fan of fiber, as I poke myself in the eye a lot when doing mascara due to being shakey. BUt I think I might give it a try… I have a primer I use with my other mascara’s I got from Nyx and I really like that one
