Makeup of the Day | February 2nd, 2018 – Lunch Date + Friday Night Out

What up guys, I’m testing out a new style of post. Instead of saving all my motd’s and such until I get around to doing a weekly edit which has become monthly edits and overwhelming. I thought I would try out doing daily-ish blogs and see how it goes. Weekly Edits may end up as Monthly Edits that include highlights, post round up and favorites. 

Anyway, here is the first of the Makeup of the Days type of posts. This one is from Friday, I do plan to have them up sooner, if not the same day. I was still deciding if I wanted to do this, hence it’s a couple days later.

In these Makeup of the Day posts, I want to include the makeup I did for the said day, product details and any other fun pictures or just what happened that day. I figure these will most likely go up the day after so I can have a whole day’s worth of content.

Let’s kick this series off with my Makeup of the Day from February 2nd, 2018.

The Makeup

Not much to say about this look other than I am loving the Desert Dusk Palette. I’m in love with the shades, cashmere, musk, and oud right now. Oud is the best warm brown. It has a plum hint. It’s quite unique. I will say I do wish the metallics applied better dry. I hate wetting a brush.

So Friday was a pretty fun day. I finally posted my ABH Subculture Review which you can read here: Review | Looks – Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette and despite a toothache I managed to have a pretty good day.

This Friday was payday which meant errands to run but I had a nice lunch date with Ross before he had to go to work. We went to our favorite Mexican joint and got taco salads. I am kinda obsessed with taco salads now.

Then that evening I went out with some friends to a flashback dance party at the Irish pub downtown. That ended up being pretty cool, I didn’t dance but I enjoyed the show of other people dancing. Then we headed back to our local bar for one last beer before home. I was so exhausted at this point because I got up early. Got home around 1:30 am but I ended up staying up until 4 ish.

And for some dumbass reason, my mildly hungover ass gets up at 10am the next morning. Well, I got up cause I had another toothache but couldn’t go back to sleep. I just zoned out watching youtube while I rehydrated and waited for Ross to get up so he could take me to get another taco salad, which he did.

That is pretty much how I spent the rest of the weekend. I was supposed to go watch the Superbowl at the bar but my tooth had other plans. By the way, I went to bed at 8 pm Saturday and slept until 1 in the afternoon Sunday. WTF?! But I did get up and make keto chicken and broccoli casserole and get the dishes done.
