Review | Demo – Colourpop No Filter Concealer

What up guys? today I have a review and demo of the Colourpop No Filter Concealer. I was finally able to get it in my shade and I have been testing her out a few weeks now and wanted to review it for ya’ll.

I was planning to have this post up yesterday but I didn’t think about how yucky I would feel after getting a tooth pulled. I felt awful yesterday so I just slept but I’m all better today and back at it.

Let’s get started.

So my shade was finally in stock, I got the shade Fair 5 which is the lightest of the range for $6.00. First, that price is amazing and the concealer is pretty damn good too.

There are 15 shades in the range, not the best range but a start. They could definitely use an expansion on the deep and palest side which seems to be the case most often.

The product comes in a nice little tube with paddle-like doe foot applicator. Looks a hell of a lot like Kylie’s, of course, she has a great shade range but retails for way more in price.

The formula is very pigmented and pretty full coverage. It is somewhat thick and can be a bit drying, I wouldn’t recommend this for people with dry under eyes at all. It will age you. But if the undereye is well moisturized it performs well and looks great. It sets very fast to a matte finish so you have to do one eye at a time and set with powder to prevent creasing which goes for any concealer. You’ll see more about the wear below.

It does oxidize a little bit but not too much on my face where it ends up too dark. I would like there to be a less yellow shade this pale but I don’t hate it.

The Demo

Here is my undereye after doing my foundation. I have a little shadowiness and a touch of blue.

I applied the concealer like I normally would, I know it looks like a lot but it’s a thin layer. I was going full glam here.

And blended out, the color blends in fine and is brightening due to the yellow undertone. There is some creasing because it’s not set.

Here’s a look at the full face after concealer.

I applied a bit to my chin, corners of the mouth and smile lines and it wears very well in those areas.

I patted out the creases and set the undereye with Maybelline Loose Finishing Powder in Fair Light and then set the rest of the face with it as well. I think the undereye looks pretty good, highlighted and brightened.

Here’s how it looks once everything is finished, it all came together.

The concealer wears very well throughout the day, no creasing or breaking down on my combo skin to dry skin.

Overall, I like this concealer for more full coverage days because it is pretty full on. I didn’t care for it on my lighter makeup days alone but mixed with L’Oreal Pro Glow Concealer, it looked beautiful. It’s a fantastic concealer for 6 bucks. Just be sure you’ve moisturized and don’t go too crazy with it because it can get cakey! I used this on a day when I was really dry and it was BAD! Is this concealer perfect? no. The shade could be better but again for 6 bucks, I can’t complain much. I’m going to continue to use it but I’m not sure about repurchasing at the moment. We shall see.

  1. I have not tried the concealer yet but have heard praises and is compared to the Tarte Shape Tape. Loved reading your review. I want to try this concealer $6 is fine to try maybe next time, but I also find it difficult to select the shade online. You came up with such a beautiful look. The shadows and the lipstick everything is perfect. 🙂

      1. I would go a shade lighter if you tend to have product oxidize on your skin. It turns orange on my hand but not on my face. Foundations and concealer always do that. Something about ph levels I think.

      2. Yeah I usually do because the nyx hd studio photogenic concealer oxidizes on me too. Although I remember it not doing that, so I wonder if maybe nyx changed the formula but I am starting to hear about pH levels too so that could be one thing too. Who knows lol.
