Makeup of the Day | February 16th, 2018 – Galentine’s Day

Hellooo! Did everyone have a good weekend? I had a pretty awesome one. Friday was Galentine’s Night Out which was packed full of adventure. The rest of the weekend was spent recovering and relaxing. I have a makeup look from Friday to show ya’ll and some pics from throughout the evening. Let’s get into this makeup and misadventures.

Starting with the makeup of course. I wanted to step away from using reds because I have had an obsession with reds and warms lately so instead I went with an olive green. I could have sworn I did a tutorial for a look like this but I guess I didn’t. LOL. If ya want one, let me know in the comments below.

Anyway, for this look, I used the Kat Von D Saints & Sinners Palette as well as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I paired this eye look with a matte brown lip from Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit called Caramel Cake. A full list of products will be listed below as usual.

On of the bars we hit Friday had a great mirror so I actually have an OOTD! This is that new sweater I just hauled from Wal-Mart paired with some leggings I tore up by accident and ended up looking pretty cool along with some old combat style boots I got last year from Wal-Mart… my purse is also from Wal-Mart. What can I say I am a Wal-Mart ass bitch these days. LOL!

My hair looked pretty nice before I left the house however it was rainy, cold yet muggy and humid as hell so the hair suffered. I was surprised how well the makeup held up though.

My husband got off work at 6pm and we had to run a couple quick errand and grab dinner then he dropped me off at the bar and he went home to bed as he had to work the next morning.

So our night, started out at The Brewhouse, which the bar I always am talking about when I just say the bar. It’s literally a block from the house and that’s like our home base. Nights start and end there always. Anyway, we all met up here. there was 8 of us in all I believe.

Next stop was Los Portales for dinner. I had already eaten though… I didn’t know food was part of the plan. After dinner, it was off to Downtown to The Melting Pot to catch our friend’s band, Mojo Killjoy, and drinks. Look at me checkin out dem titties.

My bestie Brooke got to sing Four Non-Blondes’ What’s Up with the band and killed it. That bitch can sing, girl. After Melting Pot we meandered a couple blocks over to The Mirror Room, a bougie ass bar that I freaking love. They have the best cocktails. Also how IG aesthetic is that marble wall, which is original to the building. The Mirror is in the historic Hotel Bentley which has been open since 1908. My Great Aunt used to hang out in this same bar back in the 1940’s. She was quite the scandal wearing pants and all back in the day. Anyway, this bathroom we took the pictures in is supposed to be haunted, the hotel is. In fact, Ghost Hunters did an episode there. After The Mirror Room came Shameless, our one and only gay bar. As you can see the club was lit… We were the only ones there aside from staff on a Friday night.

However, we had a blast and this poor mechanical bull got his ass kicked. lol! He just looks sad, don’t he?

I think me and Lila were the only ones who passed on riding, I am too damn short to get up there to began with and wasn’t paying $5 for that. sorry, not sorry. I did have a watermelon vodka and red bull though. That was yummy but I was wired until 4 am from the red bull.

I was living for all the motivational pictures all over the bar though. How awesome is that? I will def go back. Cheap drinks, bull rides, stripper pool and booty music. It was fucking fun. The whole night was a blast.

We, of course, ran into friends along the way, Cenla is a small world and the nightlife/bar scene is even smaller. Everyone knows everyone which isn’t a bad thing. You know you will always have someone to hang with no matter where you go.

Home was reached around 2am and I settled into bed around 3 with Ross and Pumpkin who were both dead to the world and read almost until Ross’s alarm went off for work then slept until about 1 pm. I woke up happy to no hangover. Saturday was spent just being lazy until Ross got off work and we went and had BBQ for dinner and got groceries. Sunday was much of the same. Sleeping late and I made taco salads for dinner while we watched X Files. I had a nap until 1am and now here I am up for the day and hopefully getting back on a normal sleep pattern again. It’s so easy to be a night owl for me but it’s also depressing as hell being backward. I much prefer being a productive human during the day.

I did finish the skincare review, it’s been submitted for review to brand backer. I think I am over all these skincare reviews. They don’t get views and they are boring as hell to write. I like trying new products but I have a routine that’s working for me at the moment so I am gonna lay off on them unless there are some good anti-aging products to try.

Today’s plan is to work on a review of Maybelline Instant Age Rewind and demo a few products for upcoming reviews. I’ll leave ya’ll with a few funnies.
