The MD Complete Clarifying Cleanser

MD Complete Acne Clearing System (3)

First up we have the MD Complete Clarifying Cleanser. This is a thick and creamy cleanser made with Salicylic Acid, green tea, ginkgo biloba, and ginseng. If you need a good cleanser for acne prone skin, here you go. It’s very deep cleaning in my opinion. Deeply cleans pores and exfoliates. I love this stuff for in the evening, especially after a heavy makeup day. This isn’t a cleanser I can use twice a day as it is a little too strong and irritates my skin but once a day is perfect. It leaves my skin feeling super clean and breaks down makeup like a dream. I do like that it tries to keep skin calm with the soothing ingredients as well. My skin is just really sensitive during the winter. That being said, I do recommend this for anyone who is looking for a strong cleanser to really clean out pores and get rid of impurities at the end of the day.

Key Ingredients

• Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 2.0%
Salicylic Acid helps clear and prevent breakouts by eliminating acne-causing bacteria
• A blend of Green Tea, Ginseng & Ginkgo Biloba Extracts provide antioxidant protection while calming and soothing skin
Vitamins B, C & E deliver potent antioxidants to help nourish and hydrate skin
Glycerin helps strengthen skin’s moisture barrier, leaving skin feeling hydrated, not stripped

The MD Complete Clarifying Cleanser retails for $14.99 and you can check it out here at

The MD Complete Breakout Treatment.

MD Complete Acne Clearing System (4)

The MD Complete Breakout Treatment is pretty awesome. I use this in my problem areas like around my nose and chin rather than my full face as suggested because it was just a bit too strong once again but it works! I tend to get little breakouts around my nose and on my chin and this not only clears up pimples in no time but I feel like it has really helped prevent them.

This treatment is formulated with benzoyl peroxide which can be a little harsh for sensitive skin, hence why I can’t use it around my jaw or forehead where I have irritation often. I really prefer this as a spot treatment for myself but if you can use it all over your face with no issues then go for it because it works great. I also use this just once daily in the AM.

Key Ingredients
• Active Ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide 4.25%
Benzoyl Peroxide helps eliminate the bacteria that can cause breakouts
• A blend of Allantoin and Chamomile help soothe and calm stressed skin
Lentil Seed and Algae Extract help strengthen the skin barrier for a clear, healthy-looking complexion
Bisabolol helps reduce irritation

The MD Complete Acne Breakout Treatment retails for $19.99 and can be found here on

The Citrus-C Healthy Complexion

MD Complete Acne Clearing System (5)

This one I have really been enjoying to use daily in the AM. The MD Complete Citrus-C Healthy Complexion is a treatment made with Retinol and Vitamin C, meant to correct post acne scars and refine texture which is my biggest struggle. It also has Vitamins A.B,C, and E too. This serum smells really good for one thing and I love that and it’s not irritated my skin at all. So far I really like this one and I feel like the texture of my skin is much better lately. I am really pleased.

Key Ingredients
• Pure Retinol refines skin texture
• Niacinamide helps even skin tone
• Ceramides strengthen the skin barrier
• Vitamins A, B, C and E and Fruit Seed Extracts nourish skin for a clearer complexion

You can purchase the MD Complete Citrus-C Healthy Complexion for $24.99 and real all the tea over here at

The Healthy Skin Probiotic

I was a little on the fence on testing these out but I did. What it is a nutritional supplement you drink once a day. It’s a tiny amount and tastes like 5 Hour Energy. It has a pleasant aftertaste as well. I normally take a probiotic anyway so I swapped over to this one for a week. It works as go as any I would say, maybe better because I do feel like it is quite concentrated. I’m not a doctor so I don’t want to get into much about this one. Here is the link to the product and you can see all of info for yourself.

The Verdict

The MD Complete Acne Clearing System on a whole is great for acne prone skin and I feel like it has worked pretty well for my skin which isn’t terribly acne prone these days due to diet changes and getting my hormones under control, but I still have some issues with clogged pores and mild acne here and there which these have pretty much fixed. I am at a point with my skin where I am really happy with it as far as acne goes.

The whole system is available here at for $49.99 which is a fair price in my opinion. If you are struggling with acne I would say to definitely look into this line.
