Happy Friday! Today I have a quick review of the Elemis Superfood Facial Wash and Elemis Superfood Day Cream. Elemis and Influenster sent me these little guys about a month ago and I have been testing them out as part of my morning skincare routine.

These products came at a perfect time because I have been on the hunt for some new AM skincare, most the products I use are very heavy moisturizers or loaded with retinol, not the best for daytime and under makeup. I also was in need of a new cleasner that didn’t irritate my skin. Thank you Elemis for coming to the rescue! My poor skin has had it this winter. Chapped, itchy and super sensitive.
Elemis Superfood Facial Wash
Let’s start with the face wash. This is one of those cleansers that is perfect for in the morning. I personally don’t need a heavy duty skin stripping facial wash, especially in the morning. I just want something cleansing and gentle with some good skin care benefits.
The Elemis Superfood Facial Wash is formulated with a Supergreen Complex of Wheatgrass, Kale, Nettle, and minerals are combined to leave the complexion looking luminous according to the website as well as Superfood lipids, Broccoli Seed, Avocado and Pumpkin Seed oils, are combined with an active, sugar-derived Pre-Biotic helps to maintain a healthy balance in the skin’s microflora. Sounds pretty healthy, like something I would make for lunch. LOL!
Anyway, it has some pretty great ingredients that leave my skin feeling great and it smells pretty nice too.
The facial wash is meant to cleanse, nourish and revitalize skin leaving it radiant and fresh. Perfect for the morning if you ask me.
This is a great cleanser for all skin types too.
I apply it to my face while it’s still dry and massage it in as directed then I add some warm water and lather up then rinse. I do use this one in the evening on less heavy makeup days. I have a lot of skincare so I shuffle stuff around and this has become my AM go to but you can use it day or night.
Elemis Superfood Day Cream
The Elemis Superfood Day Cream is quite lovely, especially for daytime. This Pre-Biotic Day Cream balances and moisturizes skin with anti-oxidant rich oils and vitamin-packed Super Green Complex.
It’s meant to replenish, moisturize and protect the skin with a deep moisturizing but quick absorbing formula. Made with Superfoods naturally rich in nutrients, minerals, omegas and antioxidants like broccoli, flax seeds and daikon radish for plump smooth skin. It also contains ginger, matcha tea, and goji berry to help protect the skin’s barrier.
It claims to leave skin smooth, revitalized and illuminated with a super fresh glow.
Does it do all that? I’d say so.my skin feels very healthy and happy after using this in the morning following the facial wash. It has a pleasant scent and soaks right into the skin leaving it feeling moisturized and ready for the day.
It looks and feels like a cream until you massage it in and it reminds me of a facial oil but not greasy. I am quite happy with how it’s working on my skin.
This one is also suitable for all skin types and both the facial wash and day cream are vegan-friendly.
The Verdict
Both these products are great in my opinion. I have enjoyed them. Elemis isn’t super affordable however which is a downside to me. I do have a discount code for ya’ll.
