Good morning and happy Spring. In celebration of the new season I wanted to share this makeup look and how created it. It’s quite simple and very 70’s home decor inspired but also perfect for Spring.
For this look, I went with a mustard colored shadow and an olive green winged liner paired with a warm peachy nude matte lip. If you want to see how I got this look, just keep reading below.
Most the shadows I used which are only 4 came from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette and one which is an ABH single eyeshadow called Warm Taupe also found in the ABH Modern Renaissance. Let’s get started.

The Eyes.
I already have my brows done and eyes primed with concealer and translucent powder.
Next, I jumped right in with color on a flat shader brush. First up is the shade Edge which is a mustard yellow matte.

Edge went all over the lid and up then blended up and out in a fluffy brush. I blended it up into the transition and socket area as well as inner corner, really blowing this shade out.
Then I moved onto the wing, sketching it out with the shade Untamed on an angled liner brush.

I wanted the wing to be soft and subtle but still visible. I perfected the edges of the liner with a q-tip and a little bit of my face primer.
At this point I decided the crease/socket needed some depth so I went in with Warm Taupe, I used a single I have of the shadow but you can also find it in the Modern Renaissance. This is one of those workhorse shades I love so much I bought a backup.

I added a little bit of Warm Taupe to the crease area and blended it out with Edge to keep the mustard tones strong and I used Warm Taupe to contour the lower lash line. I also put a bit of my cheek highlighter on the inner corner.
The Finished Eye
And that’s the eyes done. Simple, quick but different. I loved the way it came out. I finished it off with a bit of mascara and that’s it.

The Lips
For the lips, I wanted to keep things warm and still feeling retro. I opted for a drugstore favorite from Wet N Wild. The Megalast Liquid Catsuit in Give Me Mocha.

This is such a good lip color and such a lovely formula.
The Finished Look.

That’s all for today, I am a little off my game this weekend. Lady times are approaching and my gallbladder is quite mad over a pizza binge and I have wanted nothing but to sleep. Just feeling off. Anyways, I will see ya’ll Monday for a new post. I think a review of the Maybelline Matte and Poreless will be up.
