Happy Monday! Best way to kick this week off is with a review of a fantastic and affordable foundation. I was in a funk all weekend but it’s a new week and a fresh start so let’s talk about some makeup. Today, I have a review of the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation and spoiler, this is a good one.

I know the Matte + Poreless formula has been on the market for some time now but I just discovered my love of a matte finish foundation after trying out the Fenty one. I loved the original Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth too, in fact, it was one of my first reviews I ever did on here. Here’s a link to that one: Review | Demo – Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation, Concealer and Powder
Wow, that post is a throwback, things have definitely improved around here. LOL!

The Claims + Benefits
Before we get into the demo, let’s talk about the claims of this foundation. According to Maybelline.com Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation face makeup. This lightweight foundation mattifies and refines pores and leaves a natural, seamless finish. Ideal for normal to oily skin, the exclusive matte foundation formula features micro-powders to control shine and blur pores.
This isn’t the most matte foundation I have ever used and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s a forgiving matte that doesn’t cling on to dryness too bad and wears a very long time. I really think it wears longer than the new Super Stay Foundation. I love the finish of this one. It’s matte but not drying. It really does minimize my pores too. It’s a win all around for me.
The coverage is great, it’s a light/medium buildable formula and it looks like skin.
The Shade Range
The shade range is outstanding for any foundation let alone drugstore. They have a shade for everyone! Maybelline has 40 shades in all in the range. However, in the Dewy + Smooth they only have 16 shades. WTF?
I have the shade 110 Porcelain and it’s a perfect match for me.
The Demo
Ah yes, my bare ass face. Mind you there has been no retouching on these photos aside from resizing. So you see my freckles, hyperpigmentation, and redness in all its glory.
Here is just the foundation alone applied with a Sonia Kashuk beauty sponge.
Here are some close-up shots after I finished the rest of my face. I set everything with the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder and I believe I used the Colourpop No Filter Concealer. I think my skin looks pretty damn good and I am really pleased with this foundation.
I dare say the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless might just be my new Holy Grail foundation. I like it better than the Super Stay one which I really liked. LOL. I have a review of it here: Review | Demo – Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation
I think the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless gives the perfect finish, The most flattering matte formula I have tried thus far on my combo to dry skin and like I said, the wear time for great for me. It’s a go-to trustworthy foundation that I recommend any and everyone give it a shot. I can’t believe it took me so long to try it. I know this review was sort of short but what can I say other than this is a damn good foundation and you need to try it. LOL!

Oh this sounds like something I need to try!! I have combi skin and been looking for something that caters to that!
I am usually a full coverage, matte queen. But looking for something a bit more natural.
Will defo have to give this a go! Thanks for the review.

Yeah, this one is great for a more natural look but you can build it up to a more full coverage for sure.

I’ve been wanting to try this! I’ve always been skeptical because I have normal to combo skin so I didn’t know if it’d work for me

Love this! I’ve recently been looking for a new foundation and I’ve found a high end one but I was on the look out for a cheaper one too. I use the Fit me concealer and love it, don’t know why I didn’t think to check out the foundation. I love the overall finish and covering pores is a must for me.
Brilliant post x

Lol. I basically have Wet n’ Wild’s collection. I love their brand and it’s so affordable. I really like their foundation, it’s light weight and long lasting. I’ve had mine for about 6 months and I have still have a lot to go through.

this is one of my favorite foundations… I don’t know what’s wrong with my skin, but every foundation I’ve tried clings to my dry spots or pills up… it’s super weird, even if I exfoliate first it sits really weird in my t-zone and around my nostrils…. hmmmm

Girl, me too. My skin has been hella dry all winter and because I use retinol treatments. This is one of the ones that does it the least, even with it being matte. Have you tried using Neutrogena Hydra Gel? That one has been doing nice things for my dry ass skin.
