“I’m recording this because this could be the last thing I’ll ever say
The city I once knew as home is teetering on the edge of radioactive oblivion
A three-hundred thousand degree baptism by nuclear fire
I’m not sorry, we had it coming
A surge of white-hot atonement will be our wake-up call
Hope for our future is now a stillborn dream
The bombs begin to fall and I’m rushing to meet my love
Please, remember me
There is no more”
What up guys? I am so excited about today’s post. I have a look inspired by Gunship’s song Tech Noir. I am obsessed with Gunship btw. I have the album on repeat while I work and in the car constantly. As soon as I heard the song Tech Noir I wanted to do a look inspired by it and the retro-futurism vaporwave aesthetic AND I just got the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes which were perfect for creating this look. Especially the Electric Obsessions. I have more looks in mind like this that will be coming for sure. I am super inspired right now and am bursting with colorful yet dark looks. But really, I haven’t heard a song or band in years that has pulled me in so deeply and grabbed me by the heart. It’s just magical.
So if you want to see how I created this look, just keep reading below.

Like I said, I just got my claws on the Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes. All four because… I needed them. Duh! LOL. So, those are what I used to create this look and one shadow from the Desert Dusk Palette. I mean, look at the Electric Palette! In particular, I used the black from the Smoky Obsessions, a couple shades from the Mauve Obsessions and the Electric Obsessions
The Eyes
I started the eyes out by priming them with Elf Eyeshadow Primer then went over with Colourpop No Filter Concealer and set everything with Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder. I have also done my brows. Sorry, my lids look so dry. I dunno what is going on there. They have been dry AF for the last week. Thanks for making me look 10 older than I am lids.
Next step is the transition, for this, I took this medium tone warm taupe from the Mauve Obsessions Palette.

I blended this shade all throughout the transition area and socket line bringing the shadow all the way to the inner brow and out toward the tail of the brow.
Next up, I took this purple/brown matte shadow into the crease. I will be going in with black and I wanted a shadow to blend it into that was softer.

I focused this plum brown lower in the socket and into the crease and blended it into the taupe. This look took a lot of patience and blending. A lot of back and forth between shadows for seamlessness.
Time for the black. I used the black from the Smoky Obsessions which is really nice. The thing with black is, always start small and easy then build. Take your time and be patient. I used a small pencil brush to deposit color then blended it gently with a very small blending brush.

I placed the black on the inner and outer corner and then blended carefully through the crease to connect them leaving the center of the lid blank. I pulled the black out on the outer corner to elongate the eye and give a cat-eye shape because that is more flattering on my eye than a rounded look. I blended the black out with the plummy brown and then taupe. A lot of blending and back and forth to get a smooth gradient.
Now for the fun part! The color and the Electric Palette. I patted a bit if Nyx Glitter Primer to the center of the lid for maximum pigmentation. I wanted full on vibrant color.

I then patted on the metallic purple from the Electric Palette to the center of the lid and softly blended it with the black.
Then I took I tiny bit of the metallic blue and patted it around the edges of the purple.

I ended up with a blue haze around the purple before blending into the matte black.
I have been looking forward to using this shadow from the Desert Dusk. It’s duo-chromatic eyeshadow topper kind of shade called Twilight.

I patted this shade on top of the purple and blue. This gave it a really cool dimensional look. Is it blue? is it purple? It’s blurple.
To enhance the cat shape and add all the drama I needed a winged liner. I used the ELF Cream Liner for this with an angled brush.
I decided to go back in with the matte black shadow and blend the wing in more and smoke it out. Then I cleaned up the edges with a q-tip and face primer.
I jumped over to the Moonchild Glow Kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills and took the shade Purple Horseshoe on the inner corner.

I went ahead and finished the rest of my face and moved on to the lower lash line. First I went in with that taupe shade from the Mauve palette, then the plum brown.
and then some black to join up to the wing on the outer corner.
I wanted more vibrancy on the lower lash line so I added some of NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder in Lavender Steel on the inner portion of the lower lash line.

This gave it some shine.
But I ended up going on with this vibrant pinky purple shade from the Electric Palette on a fluffy brush and blending it all along the lower lash line in a more blown out haze.

The Finished Eye
I added a couple coats of mascara and done.
The Lips
On the lips, I went with a black liquid lipstick from NYX

Then I topped the center of my lips with the Twilight Shade from the Desert Dusk palette. Also, I am proud as shit of that lip line. Overdrawn as my bank account but I did good. LOL! And check out those nails, exact match. I was on point, man.
The Face
I used quite a few products on the face as well and wanted to include that too because it all ties together.
For foundation I used Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless and concealed with Colourpop No Filter Concealer mixed with Kat Von D Lock It Concealer in White Out. Then set everything with Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder.
I contoured using Sephora Collection blush in Tranquil which is a cool taupe shade. I think this is discontinued.
For blush, I used Justify My Love from Too Faced Love Flush Blush.

Lastly, for the highlighter, I went in with Nyx Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder in Lavender Steel and then hit the highest points of my face with Purple Horseshoe from the Moonchild Glow Kit.
I will have links to all the products I used links to my review below.
The Finished Look
I hope ya’ll enjoyed this look. It’s one of my favorites and I had so much fun creating it. Also, go check out Gunship. Have a wonderful Easter Weekend and I will see ya soon.
