Happy Monday… I mean Tuesday… Whatever, yesterday got away from me. Anyway, I have a review of the Benefit Roller Lash finally. I know, it’s been out forever and I have been using it forever. I ended up with a bunch of minis somehow. Anyway. Roller Lash is super hyped up online but does it live up to expectations? Keep reading and find out!

The Claims
According to Benefit:
It’s a roller for lashes! The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls…while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours. Contains provitamin B5 and serin, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits. Available in two stunning shades, original ink black or brown.
- Satin finish
- Water-resistant & easy to remove
- 87% said it gives long-lasting curl* in a four-week study
Awards
- #1 best-selling Prestige Curling Mascara in the US*
- Allure Best of Beauty Awards, Best Everyday Mascara, 2015 & 2016
Those are some major claims. Honestly, it’s an okay mascara but nothing to write home about. I have used way better ones from the drugstore. It does curl, I will give it that but otherwise, meh.

I actually enjoy the wand for separating lashes when they get clumpy and comes in handy with layering mascaras. I an not usually a fan of plastic spikey wands as they are stabby but this one isn’t so bad.
The Directions
There is a particular way you are meant to apply this mascara and it makes a difference. I actually roll the wand as I pull up on the lashes.
Ready for the hook & roll, gorgeous? Gently wiggle the wand from the base of lashes to tip. Repeat across your lashline, making sure to catch every last lash. Curls just wanna have fun!
The Demo
Here’s my bare lashes, uncurled since this mascara is meant to curl.
And after. Not bad, it’s very natural by my standards. I like a little more volume and oomph. This is one of those mascaras I really like for layering with a volumizing one but would I go out of my way to repurchase. Nah. I’m good.

Even if this were drugstore I probably wouldn’t repurchase it. The Benefit Roller Lash retails for $24 at Benefit.com. If you do get the chance, check out a sample because you might like it. It comes down to personal preference. I like all the volume in my mascara and curl isn’t a concern for me, nor is the length. At first, I thought I liked this mascara but I think Lash Paradise and Superstar X Fiber spoiled me.
Short and sweet but there you go. How do you feel about Roller Lash? I know it’s so many people’s holy grail.
PS. Sorry about the wild brows. LOL!
