Happy Friday! Today, I have a new tutorial using the Tarte Tarteist Pro Eyeshadow Palette. I felt like shopping my stash and pulling out a palette I haven’t played with in a while and I wanted to do something more dramatic and dark. Also, Gunship has a new album out called Dark All Day hence the title.

For this look I am focusing on the two center rows that are mostly purples and taupes and for the pop of color I went with the teal to warm brown duo chrome called Trendy.

I started out with my brows done using the KVD Super Brow Pomade and primed the lid with Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define then set with Wet N Wild Photo Focus Powder. I hit the brow bone with the matte white.

Moving onto the transition and socket area, I took Profesh on a fluffy brush and blew this shade out really far almost to the brow.

Dark All Day (3)

Next I took Mod which is a warm pinky tone into the transition and crease, just a bit lower than the previous shade.

To bring in the darkness, I took Drama a little closer into the crease on a smaller brush and blended it into Mod. I also dusted in No Filter which is a cooler purple tone into the transition because it was looking too warm.

Dark All Day (5)

Next, on the outer V, I added in Vamp which is the really dark blackened purple on a pencil brush and blended it in the other shadows and tightly through the crease.

Moving along to the lid. I used Nyx Glitter Primer to kind of carve out the lid.

Then in with this gorgeous teal to brown duo chrome called Trendy.

I patted Trendy all over the lid and blended it into Vamp at the outer V.

Dark All Day (9)

I wanted to do a fairly large wing and I just got this L.A. Girl Line Art Matte Eyeliner pen which I am kind of loving.

I mean, look at the wing with minimal cleanup. I did clean up the fallout.

I went ahead and finished up the face. I got a tad of a tan so my foundation is actually TOO pale for me. WTF. Anyway. I took a combination of Mod and No Filter along the lower lashline. I also tight lined with a black liner. At the outer corner, I went in with Vampy and met it up with the liner.

Dark All Day (12)

For the inner corner, I did a combination of Pink Heart from Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit and Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighter in Blossom Glow.

I pulled the highlight kind of far inward on the lower lash line.

At this point I wasn’t loving the outer V so I added in more Vamp and Trendy and pulled it up a little higher toward the wing.

I still felt like it was missing something so I added more black liner on the lower waterline and pulled it down in the tear duct.

Dark All Day (20)

To finish off the look I went in with the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Primer and Maybelline Total Temptation over top.

For the lips, I wanted to stick in the purple family and went in with Nyx Liquid Suede in Subversive Socialite. I live for this color.

On the rest of the face, I used Nyx Angel Veil Primer, Maybelline Super Stay Foundation, Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define and set with Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder as my bake and Wet N Wild Photo Focus over the rest of the face.

For highlighter, I used my favorite combination of Wet N Wild Hello Halo in Halo Goodbye applied before powders products and then Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighter in Blossom Glow. I hit the highest points if the cheekbones and brow bone with Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Child Glow Kit in Pink Heart as well.

I used Kat Von D Shade + Light to contour and bronze, for blush I used a new favorite, the Milani Blush in Tea Rose and veiled everything with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light.

I hope ya’ll like this one. I just kind of whipped it yesterday because I really just wanted to sit down, play and do something hella dark and dramatic.

What are your weekend plans? I think the gym, swimming and some shopping on the menu for me and another pool party on Sunday. This has been a pretty busy Summer socially and I am loving it.
