Hey guys, what’s up? Feels good to be back blogging, I took a little vacation last week but it’s Monday and I am back at it. Today, I have a review of the Wet N Wild Mega Cushion Foundation with Spf 15. I picked this up on a whim at the Wal-Mart a few weeks ago just to give it a try because I have heard a few good things. Spoiler alert: This is damn near holy grail status good.

In fact, I liked it so much, I bought a back up which isn’t something I normally do because I bounce around between products a lot and am always testing new ones out.

My shade is the lightest one called Light Ivory. It’s just light enough for me to be a perfect match. I wouldn’t be mad if it were a tad fairer because it is just barely hitting that just right mark color wise. Speaking on shade range, it is quite limited with only 8 shades that look not run very deep but that is also just looking at online swatches and at the box so I can’t speak to the exact shades. The shades on the box and compact exterior aren’t the best indicators either.

The compact the product comes in is like your average cushion foundation with the applicator sponge on top then an airtight chamber containing the cushion and liquid foundation.

I actually really like the provided sponge for application, which I didn’t think I would. It blends the product out beautifully and gives you a lot of control over how much or how little you wish to use.

The coverage is can be sheer to light but is very buildable. You can build it up in areas you need more coverage very easily and get to a medium. It’s very versatile in that aspect.

The finish is luminous but not oily looking. It’s very skin like and has a healthy glow. On its own, with minimal setting powder it looks great and while not incredibly long-wearing, it wears away gracefully and is super easy to touch up because it’s such a travel-friendly product. You can set it more with a powder and it will last a good while. Depends on your needs and preferences.

This is a fantastic everyday foundation especially when you just want to get the makeup done and get out the door. It’s perfect for a busy lifestyle. I am loving it for the summer because it’s so easy and light. I can also throw it in my purse for touch-ups and for travel.

The Demo

Here is a quick demo showing the finish and the coverage you can get with this little guy. My skin is very freckled at the moment from being days at the pool and it has a good bit of redness.

This is after application. You can still see my skin and freckles but all the redness is gone and my skin looks more even but not heavy or overdone.

It’s that perfect balance. This is the kind of coverage I have been searching for to wear every day. I don’t want or need a full coverage mask of foundation. I just want to tone down redness and get some buildable coverage where I need it. This foundation really does just that and ticks all the boxes for me for a day to day basis. Ya’ll know I do some full-on glam looks but that’s not just to run errands or go out for lunch and to hang with friends. I do those looks for nights out and for the fun of it because I enjoy doing a full on look just not EVERYDAY.

Here’s how everything looks once I finished off all my makeup. This being just my everyday summer look. Super glowy and kind light. This is light for me anyway. These are unedited by the way, just cropped and resized. I took them in daylight in the early afternoon.

I like how you can see my freckles and my skin. It’s just a little perfected but not overly so. The foundation doesn’t settle to bad at all into my lines either which is amazing because my chin crease and smile lines give me hell.

All in all, this is a mess-free quick and easy foundation with the bonus of SPF 15. I can’t recommend this one enough to be honest and it’s found a home in my collection. It’s a top shelf product as Tati would say.  I do wish they had more shades though while it is sheer, it’s not THAT sheer. You’ll be able to tell if your shade doesn’t match.

The Wet N Wild Mega Cushion Foundation retails for around $8. I found it on Amazon for $7.89 here: https://amzn.to/2MN3Dq4

They do offer all the shades on Amazon, you can see them here: https://amzn.to/2MlMozo

I’m looking forward to trying out WetnWild’s other cushion products, I see they have correctors and highlighters too and I need to get my hands in the photofocus foundation. I just tried the concealer and will have a review of it up Friday I hope.

Have you tried this one out? And what other products from Wet N Wild do you recommend? They have been killing it lately.
