What up guys! Been a minute eh? I took a little break and decided to make a few changes around here which I will get into in another post.  Basically, I’m changing my posting schedule up. I am also working on a brush guide that ended up being way more in-depth than I thought! I feel like I am doing a research paper.

Anyway,  in today’s post, I am reviewing the much raved about Makeup Revolution Concealer and Define Concealer. Are they still called Makeup Revolution or just Revolution?

So what is up with this concealer? why so hyped? Well, the price point for one is excellent at $7.00 and of course, it’s pretty much a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape which changed the concealer game. Now it’s all about the MOST full coverage concealers that can also be used for cream contouring with massive doe foot applicators.

The Component and Packaging

The tube is kind of short and fat with elegant styling with rose gold foil. Feels very nice and luxe.

The Shade Range

The shade range for the Conceal and Define is pretty damn good with 24 shades that run very pale so good new for use porcelain gals and it runs pretty deep as well. I think I have the shade C 1 which is for fair skin with neutral undertones and it’s one of the best matching concealers I have tried in a while.

The Formula, Wear and Finish

This is a thick full coverage concealer.  The thickness is just the nature of the beast I feel with this particular type of concealer. However, it doesn’t feel overly heavy or sticky.  It will crease if you don’t set it quickly. Make sure you pat out the creases before you set, also I think just comes with the territory of a full coverage concealer.  Some concealers crease worse than others of course but they ALL crease to an extent because we all have lines around our eyes. This one, as long as it’s as smooth as possible before setting it with your power, she’s good to go.

The concealer is quite long wearing and sets down to a matte finish.

Of course, you have the massive applicator.

The Demo

Here is a quick demo showing how the concealer looks under the eye. So here I am with no concealer below. Thank the ring light for washing out those dark circles. I tend to have more redness around my eyes than blue.

After application and blended it out. You can see how it does crease a bit so before I set I went back in with my beauty blender and smoothed it out as much as possible.

And after setting with the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder. I think it looks pretty good. Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer Review (5)

Here you can also see where I used it to highlight the rest of my face. I didn’t by a contour shade. Also, why didn’t cover that pimple above my brow!?

And the finished face. (there is a tutorial for this look coming up soon) After applying the blush, contour, and bronzer I look less corpse-like and I think not too shabby. LOL.

The Verdict

A damn good concealer at a price point you can’t beat.  I feel like I tore through this concealer hella fast but I see they are selling it in a larger size as well as a foundation version both of which I need in my life. But yeah, give this one a go if you are looking for hella coverage and to feel snatched mouth pop No really, its good stuff.

I ordered mine from Ulta.com and don’t forget to use a coupon if you buy it. Ulta always has at least $3.50 off coupons. Get a deal girl!
