It’s that time of the year. All the new holiday launches have arrived… and you know what? For the most part, I am underwhelmed. Last year, I tried covering every single launch and it drove me insane. So this year I want to only talk about the things that interest me or I felt like are worth talking about.
If you’re not familiar with my Lust or Bust posts. What I do is go over new makeup launches that I am digging. We talk about all the details and what I think and you guys share your opinions below in the comments.
In today’s post, we are looking at new goodies from ABH, Bite Beauty and Nars. Not the whole collection but things that look really cool to me or that I was excited about.
Let’s start with Anastasia Beverly Hills and the much anticipated Sultry palette.
I, at first was very excited about this palette. Until I swatched it and really looked at it at Sephora. Not saying that if I had some extra money I wouldn’t buy it just because but… but so basic. It’s Urban Decay Naked 2 with a lackluster coral red. This palette is so easily duped by more affordable palettes. The first that comes to mind besides the Naked 2 is the Huda Beauty Smoky Obsession. I do LOVE the cool tones coming in. The shade I was drawn to the most is that matte gray which I own in other palettes, same with every other shade. I have all these shades a million times over.
That being said, the quality is lovely and I do like the color story. I just can’t justify buying it. I have added this to my cart over and over and removed it because I remembered how I already have the shades.
If you are on the look out for a neutral palette, I would def say check this one out though. You won’t be let down with the quality and pigmentation. I think I am just a little salty because I was expecting more from this release.
I can deny that is visually pleasing. That packaging.
Next from ABH is this cute little 3 piece set of metallic liquid lippies. This set screams holiday and would pair beautifully with the Sultry palette. I am a sucker for a metallic red.
Moving on to Bite Beauty. They always do great little sets and I LOVE their quality and how all the products are made from food grade ingredients.
The Four Little Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick Set is a great way to try out a selection of lipsticks from Bite. The Amuse Bouche formula is one of my favorites on the market.
Next up is the Agave Treat Trio Mini Agave Lip Mask Set for $18 is an awesome set. Those little tubes will last you forever and they will make your lips feel like heaven. I have constantly dry lips and these are my holy grails for getting nice hydrated lips and this set is a great way to stock up.
The Sweet Treats Agave Lips Care Set is just really cute and a great way to try out not only the lip make but the balm as well. I like the balm but the mask is everything. I bought a set like this last year but it also came with a lip scrub and I swear by their lip care products.
One more thing from Bite that I was so excited about until I saw that they were MINIS! for $75, I expect full size. I really would love to have all these shades though. I missed out on Capricorn and does that shade not scream me?
Onward to Nars.
Nars launched a pretty cute collection this year. Nowhere near as exciting as the past two years but I like the packaging and style okay. Most just weren’t anything to write home about. This year was inspired by 70’s punk fashion which is awesome but most the products are just repromotes of the same.
However, I love the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils and in this set, the shades are so pretty. I believe these are full size too so it’s an excellent value. These pencils alone are $27. I find the formula of these to feel great on the lips and last quite a while without fussing with a liquid matte lipstick. Love them. This set is on my shopping list.
They are launching more new stuff so we’ll probably be talking about Nars again soon.
Anyway, that’s all for this post. I didn’t want to overwhelm ya’ll with tons of products. Just a few things that stood out. I’ll see you beauties tomorrow with a Thanksgiving Glam inspired look.

I know! They released full sizes throughout the year. I missed out on my sign.
