Another review so soon? Yep! I want to get a few up before Christmas in case you have some last minute gift needs. Today, I will be reviewing the Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions along with swatches and a couple looks using this little guy.
I was so excited to get my hands on this one. Green is really trending right now thanks to Melt and the beautiful Gemini palette and the Smoke Sessions palette I wish I could have gotten my claws on but they all sold out super fast but luckily Huda come in with this little gem.
Insides you have a wide selection of greens in various undertones and finishes. Some of these shades are really special too.
I am also a fan of these Obsession palettes on a whole because they are affordable, compact and have really lovely color stories.
I am a huge fan of Huda’s eyeshadows. I find her mattes to be so blendable and easy to work with and the shades are usually quite nuanced. Her shimmers and metallics do take some finessing with a wet brush, fingertips or a glitter primer depending on what you are looking for but the end result is worth it.
I found with this palette, the shimmers and metallic were much easier to work with where you don’t need a glitter primer and they still have crazy impact.
Here’s a look all 9 shades in the palette.
First shade is molten metallic pale green with a cool undertone. Best applied with a finger or damp brush this shade packs a punch of shine.
Next up is a matte mint green. Super buttery smooth and pigmented. This is a pretty odd shade I think and haven’t quite found a use for it but the quality is there.
This shade is a shimmery cool toned sea foam green with and silver micro shimmers throughout. It’s stunning and I am looking forward to using it. This shade applies great with a fingertip.
The next matte is a vibrant blue based green matte. Pigmented, smooth and blendable.
The next shimmer is essential the same shade as the previous one but in a shimmer finish. A blue based cool green with shimmer with blue iridescent micro glitter throughout. applies great with a finger or damp brush.
Next up is a metallic blacken green with a warmer undertone. I love this shade so much. It’s smooth, easy to work with and packs a punch.
On the last row and the last matte is a buttery olive green. Again smooth and blendable. another favorite. It’s kind of hard to pick a favorite because I love all green eyeshadow.
Then you have a metallic olive. Again, beautiful in application. Very rich in pigmentation and shine.
Lastly, we have this stunning pale green metallic with a golden shift. This shade is amazing and is my favorite of the palette I think.
Look at this variety of green. I just want to swim in this palette. I love that all the shades stand out on their own and can work together within the palette or with any other palette you have on hand.
I want every other one of the Obsession palettes. I have 5 but I need them all.
I have a couple of looks I did with the palette. I wish I had time to do more to share but my butt has been busy.
I would highly recommend any of the Huda Beauty Obsession Palettes and this one is extra special to me. The price point is right and the quality is fantastic.
All the palettes are available on Sephora.com and Huda’s website as well for $27.
