Get the Look | NYE Glam – Makeup Tutorial

Who is ready for New Year’s Eve? My crowd is, though we don’t have firm plans yet my husband has taken off work in preparation. I think I will be having New Years Day lunch at mine.

Anyway, I know I have done some more complicated looks lately for so I thought for this look I would so something kind of easy and quick while still looking glam for NYE, glitter and all.

This is also a look you could create using whatever products you have on and hand if you got some new goodies for Christmas then, NYE is the best time to bust them out.

For this look, I used the new Kat Von D Lolita Palette and Stila Glitter and Glow in Kitten Karma for the lid with a little Fenty Diamond Bomb Highlighter thrown in.

Just keep reading of you want to see how to recreate this look.

First, can I just say how pretty the Lolita palette is? It’s matte eyeshadow perfection.

I am starting this look as usual with brows done and eyes primed with concealer then set with my translucent powder.

To the start off on a large fluffy brush I went in with the lightest shade in palette which is a very pale cool toned pink called Promesa.

Promesa went all over the lid up to the brow bone.

Moving on to the crease

On a regular sized fluffy brush I went in with Hermosura as my transition shade. This is a mid toned cool mauve. It looks a little washed out in the picture.

I blended Hermosura throughout the crease softly and in the transition area.

I love this shade as a transition, it’s so soft yet can really go out pigmented, I am using a light hand.

I wanted to pull in some warm, so I went in with Lolita next on that same brush. Lolita is a warm dusty rose and the shade the palette was based around.

Lolita went onto the crease blended just lower than the previous shade. I went back in with Hermosura around the edges of Lolita to make sure they were blended smoothly.

Now for some depth.

On a smaller blending brush I took this berry shade called Corazon

On the outer part of the lid and blended into the crease I added Corazon in merging it with Lolita.

Glitter time. Just picture Pewdiepie yelling that.

On the lid, I patted on the Stila Glitter and Glow in Kitten Karma a third of the way across. Kitten Karma is a rose gold shade with silver glitters throughout. In the pictures, it reads as a pale gold but that is my lighting. Glitters never translate well in photographs.

I went back in with Corazon on the outer portion to fade into the glitter and deepen everything up just a bit more in the crease. I also intensified the Lolita shade.

Next, I went in with my favorite product. The Fenty Diamond Bomb Highlighter is all it’s glittering and shimmering goodness.

Diamond bomb went just on the center of the lid and in the inner corner to add more shine and dimension. I used my finger for this.

On to the liner.

On an angled brush I took the blacken purple called Eterno as my liner.

I used this shade to create my wing by dampening my liner brush to get precision. I also cleaned up the fall out at this point and made sure my wing was crisp.

I kept the lower lash line pretty simple with just a bit of Corazon blended out with Hermosura softly and a brightening pencil on the inner water line.

I finished the look off by amping up the inner corner with more of the Fenty Diamond Bomb and some mascara and a set of lashes from Ardell and the eyes are done.

You really could recreate this eye with any palette with mauve and berry tones. The Tarte Tarteist Eyeshadow Palette, Mauve Obsession from Huda Beauty. Dose of Colors Blushing Berries and even the good old Modern Renaissance from ABH. The glitter is whatever shade you like.

I wanted the skin to be super glowy and to tie into the look so I used the Kat Von D Fetish Blush and Highlighter palette on the cheeks mixing the two shades Salem and Bathory, then topped with Roseshock Metal Crush Highlighter. On the highest points, I added the Fenty Diamond Bomb for that blinding finish.

For the lips, I used Nars Velvet Matte Lip Crayon in Chaos.

The Finished Look

I loved how this look came out. I got tons of compliments too that evening because I actually did this look for a night out. This is one of those looks you just feel pretty and glamorous in and is perfect for NYE.

I hope everyone has a safe and amazing New Years, and I will see ya’ll tomorrow with a MOTD.

Let’s in this post with you guys telling me your New Years Resolutions in the comments. Mine is to just be true to myself and do what I want as far as blogging goes and not care about cancel culture or beauty community drama. I am over it. How about for 2019 everyone quits being so shitty. LOL.
