Happy weekend. Anyone have any Mardi Gras plans? Kind of half planning to go to the parade Sunday depends on how my foot which is very angry at the moment feels and the weather of course which has been almost non stop rain for the last month. I don’t know what’s up with my foot and ankle but this weather isn’t helping it. I had to be “that girl” who took her shoes off at the pub last weekend. I think my husband ankle and foot problems has transferred to me. Anyways, let’s talk about some makeup.
This was a kinda Mardi Gras inspired look I did playing with the Morphe Boss Mood Palette. I think I used Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Ophelia on the lips but I may be wrong. This look was just playing around and getting to know the palette. Overall it was not a good makeup day because I was testing out other products and we weren’t getting along. If you saw my review of the L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer you know what day this was.
This next look was going to be a tutorial but I ended redoing it and posting a Get the Look with it, you can check it out here.
I do really like this look but it just needed some oomph. Again, I used the Boss Mood Palette and Pat Mcgrath Labs Matte Lip Trance in Flesh 3 topped with Buxom gloss in White Russian.
So yeah, new glasses happened. Apparently, the ones I had were way too weak and did virtually nothing for me so this time I got a much stronger Rx and I can actually see everything!
I mean, I can see details on trees in the distance and not just green fuzz. I can read stuff on my husband’s computer when he shows me things now. All around just so much better.
Here’s just a look at the glasses just after I got them. I will do better pictures of them later. I have to get the nose pads adjusted too. Right after getting them I went in Ulta just to look at makeup and really see what everything looks like. LOL. I have near 20/20 close up but terrible at seeing anything passed a few feet, mostly with my right eye.
We can’t go anywhere near Starbucks without a treat. I don’t always get the cake pops but sometimes you just need one. I don’t feel too bad because I got sugar free mocha and heavy whipping cream so at least that and my dinner were keto.
And I can’t finish a post off with a little Pumpkin. She’s been on one lately. Playing playing playing.

Thank you! I love them. I honestly didn’t realize how bad my vision was and how low ineffective my old Rx was. I thought that was just as good as it got. I went to a different eye doctor this time and she was so kind and helpful.

I really need to make an appointment and get new glasses. A good eye doctor makes a huge difference.

It does, I usually go to a specialist because my optic nerves are deformed but this time i just went to Visionworks because my co pay would be so much less. It was refreshing not to have cosmetic surgery pushed on me. They always try to talk me into fixing my lid paralysis. The surgery for that is insane.
