Finally a review! It’s been too long and if you are following me of Social Media you’ll know I have been pretty distracted with loads of dental work and pain. I’ll get more into that in another post because it’s been a lot, to say the least.
Anyway, today I want to talk about a lash serum from L’Oreal I have been testing out for a little over 4 weeks. Influenster sent me this a while ago to test for 4 weeks and talk about how it worked.
Let’s start with what this Lash Serum claims to do according to L’Oreal.
“Discover Lash Serum Solution by L’Oreal Paris. Eyelash serum conditions and cares for your lashes. Specifically formulated with a lash caring complex, after using 2x a day for 4 weeks, 7 of 10 women saw less lash loss during makeup removal. Lash Serum Solution is eye safety tested, ophthalmologist tested and suitable for sensitive eyes as well as contact lens wearers. ” – lorealparisusa.com
Sounds pretty awesome, right? They sent me this product at the perfect time because I have been into some false lashes lately and they were testing my real lashes. I, for the most part, have really good lashes. They are fairly long, okay volume, and are curled naturally. I am blessed in the lash department. I got into false lashes for fun lately because they can really elevate a look. Well, I got a little addicted and was rocking them almost every day so my real lashes suffered from the removal and the lash glue. In my before and after photos below you will see what I am talking about but basically, I ended up with bald patches and gaps in my natural lashes. So yeah, I was offered to join this campaign for the lash serum, I was like “yes please”.
Back to the actual serum. It is packaged in a click pen with a brush on applicator. It can be a little clumsy for application but works well enough. I poked myself in the eye a couple of times but that was more me not looking close up in a mirror.
You click the pen up until the clear serum appears and you brush it on to your clean lashes. You can do this before makeup, just give it at least a good 60 seconds to soak in and dry. I applied in the morning and night as part of my skincare ritual.
L’Oreal says this product is tested by an ophthalmologist and suitable for sensitive eyes as well as contact lens wearers which is great. As someone who has kind of sensitive eyes, I am cautious about products like these. I only experienced slight burning when I was careless and got it straight in my eye either because I was rushing or had clicked up too much serum. It wasn’t a bad sensation, very very mild and only for a second.
As I said, I used the Lash Serum Solution day and night for four weeks, I missed an application here and there but for the most part, I got both applications in and I told you how my lashes were needing a little love after all the false lash wearing.
You can see below the gaps in my lashes and some residual lash glue… My lashes look kind of short because they are pale at the ends and hard to see without mascara. I am a natural golden blonde so my lashes are too.
After four weeks, the results aren’t dramatic but if you look really well, you can see the gaps are gone and there appears to be just more lashes there. They are a bit fuller because I’m not losing them as often. So I am very pleased with that. When I apply mascara, they look great. These pictures are done with no mascara. I feel like they look just fuller and healthier.
Are the results crazy good? no, but they are nice and I think as someone who takes pictures of their eyeball for a job, I think it’s worth adding the serum to my skincare ritual.
Another perk to me is that it’s readily available. You can get it at Ulta for around $15. I haven’t finished the tube I have yet and I am in week six by now.
I think this is a good product for someone who uses a lot of water-proof makeup and falsies for sure. It’s a nice little conditioning step to ensure the lashes are happy and healthy.

On a side note, I know I have been rather inconsistent with my posts lately but I am trying to post daily at least in my social media and keeping ya’ll updated with my mess of a dental restoration which, spoiler: hasn’t gone to plan. There have been some very very painful bumps along the way which has really put a damper on my life in general, mentally and physically. I have sat down to write this review every day this week and couldn’t because of the pain. Today, I am feeling much better on all fronts so hopefully, I can power through so blogs!
