Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Review and Swatches

It’s time for another review. Today, I have a quick little review of two of the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipsticks from Fenty Beauty. I picked up this little value set with deluxe sample sizes on sale from Sephora to test out the formula. I have the shades Spanked and Griselda. What I liked about the little set was that it came with two shades that are right up my alley, a neutral tone, and a vampy blackened berry.

Let’s check out these lip swatches and I will let you know my thoughts on each shade respectively and on a whole.

Starting off with Spanked, described as a dusty rose. On me, I think it appears warmer than your typical dusty rose shade. Highly pigmented yet incredibly wearable. This is neutral with a little something extra and would be stunning on all skin tones.

As you can see the shade has some impact against my pale skin while still feeling like a softer shade. I was expecting this to be a much softer shade but was pleasantly surprised by its vibrancy. I am loving it for the warmer months. It’s versatile and goes with a multitude of looks. I love the warmth and vibrance of this shade. There is something special about the undertone and is a welcome addition to my lipstick collection

Next up is Griselda, described as a bold burgundy. While not as unique as Spanked, it is a bold burgundy done right with smooth opaque coverage. This shade has a cooler berry undertone with a deep almost blackened finish. I think a shade like this is gorgeous on literally everyone and is a classic in one’s makeup arsenal.

I was very impressed with how well this shade applied. As a connoisseur of the bold and vampy lip, I have used my fair share and been disappointed in the formulas time and time again but not in this case. Impressed all around with the application and wear. No streaking or patchy spots her, just full opaque color.

Overall, I am impressed with the formula of the Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Matte Plush Lipsticks. Plush is the perfect descriptive. They are smooth, not drying on the lips, and have very impressive wear time for a bullet lipstick. Not to mention the component is beautiful. These feel all around like a luxe product and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable not overly matte lipstick.
