Derma E Vitamin C Review

Derma-e Peptide & Collagen Collection Review

Hey Ghouls, Today I am reviewing some of the Derma-e Peptides and Collagen Collection which includes; derma e Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water, derma e Vitamin C Concentrated Serum, derma e Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer, derma e Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Eye Patches, derma e Vitamin C Gentle Daily Cleansing Paste, and derma e Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel. Derma-e was kind enough to send these products over for me to test out so let’s get into this!

The products in this range are heavy in Vitamin C paired with other ingredients such as turmeric, probiotics, and Rooibos. This line is all out resurfacing skin gently, promoting a clear and even texture while nourishing it simultaneously with clean ingredients. Derma-e is known for being clean and effective. They are Cruelty-Free, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, recyclable and wind energy certified.

Here is an overview of all the products I received with my thoughts.

derma e Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water

First up is the Vitamin C Cleansing Water with Probiotics, antioxidants and Rooibos.

This refreshing Vitamin C cleansing water dissolves long-lasting makeup and impurities, while improving the appearance of skin’s texture and promoting healthy collagen. Micellar technology gently lifts off dirt without rinsing, while maintaining skin’s proper balance. Anti-aging Probiotics and antioxidant-rich Rooibos help skin to appear brighter and replenished.

If you watch my YouTube channel, you know I am not the hugest advocate for micellar waters from the drugstore aside from using them to remove makeup. I tend to use them as a pre-cleanse. This micellar water to me falls somewhere between cleansing water and tone, or maybe an essence based on the ingredients. Normally, I would use micellar water before washing my face to breakdown makeup, but this one I find is nice after cleansing before applying a toner or essence. I don’t find that it breaks down makeup particularly well and kind of burns around the eyes but, it does help to get those lingering bits of makeup after cleansing. I also like this one in the AM after a gentle cleanse. It doesn’t seem to leave any residue on the skin either, which is great. I don’t feel inclined to rinse my skin after use. I like that this one is infused with skincare and, I feel like it is quite effective in that regard. I think I have found a micellar water I enjoy and at a nice price point of $12.95.

derma e Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

This concentrated serum helps to brighten skin and boost collagen health, minimizing the look of fine lines and wrinkles while improving the appearance of uneven skin tone. Intensely moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid plus non-oxidizing Vitamin C work together to protect skin from environmental stresses, helping to prevent signs of aging. Soothing Aloe and Vitamin E deeply moisturize for a rejuvenated you.

The derma e Vitamin C Concentrated Serum is a good, solid vitamin c serum. I have used some rather pricy Vitamin C Serums in the past. This one performs on par, if not better than those more luxury serums. Great ingredients and, it leave the skin feeling nice. It’s lightweight and soaks right into the skin. Again, another fair price in my opinion as well at $24.50

derma e Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer

This lightweight, radiance-boosting moisturizer supports collagen health, helping to improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles. Probiotics and Rooibos work harmoniously with non-oxidizing Vitamin C to help shield and strengthen your skin’s natural defenses for a smoother, firmer and more revitalized appearance.

Like the Serum this is another solid product. Lightweight and perfect for under makeup in the morning I have definitely been enjoying this one on the day to day. The derma e Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer retails for around $22.50.

derma e Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel

This radiance-boosting, non-abrasive blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids helps to resurface and smooth skin’s texture to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A fast-acting Citrus Fruit Purée Peel helps to improve the appearance of discoloration, dark spots and uneven skin tone. Formulated with Fruit Stay C-50, glycolic and lactic acids and lemon extract, this powerful peel helps to loosens and lifts dead skin cells and impurities to deliver visible results. After just one use, uncover a fresh, healthy-looking and beautifully radiant glow.

Okay, this one I have some thoughts on. Let’s talk about the good first. This is an incredibly effective resurfacing mask while still being gentle on the skin. I absolutely love the results. I can’t say enough good things about the results. That being said, it isn’t the most pleasant experience to use. The aroma is not appealing and the texture is… well, gross. It’s an orange chunky cream that you apply to your face with a provided spoon and leave for 3 to 5 minutes. It’s the chucks that bother me paired with the color. Reminds me of baby food. That, however, is a petty complaint compared to the results. Worth it. I still highly recommend it and you can have a good laugh while using it. The derma e Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel retails for around $23.95.

derma e Vitamin C Gentle Daily Cleansing Paste

Formulated with golden turmeric to diminish blemishes and improve skin’s natural glow as well as ancient rice to remove dirt and dead skin cells, this brightening, antioxidant-rich cleanser gently exfoliates and brightens skin for a softer, smoother complexion.

  • Can be used as a multitasking mask or a cleanser
  • Gently exfoliates with ancient rice
  • Soothes and reduces blemishes with turmeric

I love a good cleanser, especially this kind that doubles as a mask. Again, incredibly effective while being gentle on the skin. I have used this cleanser almost daily and as a mask a couple of times a week. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and the appearance is clear, smooth, and even. I really love this cleanser. It truly does as it claims without leaving my skin feeling dry or tight after use. The texture is slightly gritty and paste-like but not unpleasant. Highly recommend and it comes in at a fair price as well at $13.95.

derma e Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Eye Patches

These hydro gel patches provide a welcome relief for tired and stressed eyes. On contact, they provide a cooling, refreshing feeling. They contain vitamin C and B3 to help brighten and even discoloration like dark, under-eye circles. They also deliver moisture with cucumber and aloe to soothe and diminish puffiness. At the same time, caffeine also helps to minimize puffiness.

As an added benefit, all of the patches can be used twice. That helps to reduce waste when compared with single-use patches.

  • Diminishes under-eye circles and puffiness
  • Antioxidants build a defense against free radicals
  • Patches can be used twice for less waste
  • Vegan, GMO-free and gluten-free

Lastly is the derma e Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Eye Patches. This is my first experience with undereye patches as that isn’t an area I typically struggle with but I have had some pretty sleepless and stressful days as of late and this was a welcomed relaxing and treat yourself type of moment. I have grown accustomed to using these before filming now. I love they say you can reuse these too. The experience is just lovely. They stay in place, feel cooling, and refreshing on the skin. I dare say they are quite effective too. I think you get a fair amount in the container for the price of $24.00 as well.

The Verdict

I was pleasantly surprised by the gentle yet effectiveness of all these products. My skin has responded well to everything. While some products I was questionable about, like the micellar water and peeling mask, I was impressed overall and would recommend every one of these products for your skincare ritual. I love how ethical the brand is while maintaining a fair price range. I’m sold on Derma E and, I am so glad they sent these over because I wouldn’t have tried them otherwise. You can find Derma E at Ulta, Target, and various retailers online.
